A few people have asked about this month's order so I thought I had better start a new thread.

(if you ordered last month, I have your Mooncup now and will be posting them on Wednesday 11th April )

If you would like one, please email me on frannyandzooey at india dot com.

The next order date will be May 1st, so the money would need to be in my account by then. I can only accept payment by bank transfer or Paypal (full details on how to do this will be sent when you email me).

it's not rubber, it's medical grade silicone UCM.

FrannyandZooey · 20/04/2007 22:36

They are silicon, UCM, and they don't stop you getting pregnant Confused

hey, you might like to get one from eBay?

Aitch mine certainly does not stick to my cervix. Mine just sits near the entrance of my vagina.

FrannyandZooey · 20/04/2007 22:37

ROFL

that's silicone

thank god for Aitch

sarahlou1uk · 20/04/2007 22:38

Thanks Aitch. I have problems with tampons when I remove them and they are not full, so I then have to insert a new one and because I am dry, it hurts like hell and only goes so far up. Sorry if tmi . From what I've read on the mc, it sits just inside and doesn't interfere with the normal moisture so in a way, I think it would be ok for me. Just wanted to know really if you can feel it being just at the entrance, but I think that's been answered as a definite NO unless you've inserted it wrong!

AitchTwoOh · 20/04/2007 22:44

i really think mine is on my cervix... am i going mad?

now, here's the controversial bit, ladies. there is another product in the US, not the Keeper. in fact, it's disposable, hilariously enough. blimmin' americans. anyway, there are those who are using them as spunk catchers while ttc. i got given some by a friend who had not further need for them (disposable, remember, so individually foil-wrapped for freshness) and i in fact used them to, er, make the most of my lovely DH's emissions. and, skipping to the end a bit, that's how i have DD now. the end.

so will i similarly mis-use my mooncup when the time comes to consider ttcing again? i might, you know...

AitchTwoOh · 20/04/2007 22:46

i never feel mine once it's in, sarahlou. go for it, i think it might be great for you.

FrannyandZooey · 20/04/2007 22:46

well how high up are you putting it, Aitch? Jeez, the thought of it off my cervix is making me cringe.

so after he has come, you stick the Mooncup in so it can't all slide out again? Interesting...

Look at picture 4 . That's where mine is, where is yours?

FrannyandZooey · 20/04/2007 22:48

MamaG NO you don't need to put it anywhere near your cervix, I promise

come back come back

AitchTwoOh · 20/04/2007 22:49

i just bear down while inserting it so the neck of my womb is lower and then pop it on. maybe the neck of my womb isn't my cervix after all. and then i twist it to make sure it's on right and away i go. a wee pinch to break the seal takes it out again to empty it.

and yes, frank, that's exactly what i did with the american gizmo. it was good, i felt, for night-times. lord knows if it made a difference but at the time i was desperate so it made a difference to me iykwim?

AitchTwoOh · 20/04/2007 22:51

i believe i do have an oddly shaped vagina, apparently it's lower than usual, according to nurses who have done smears. never had any complaints, mind.

FrannyandZooey · 20/04/2007 22:51

Aitch I think it sounds wildly practical (the spunk catching). I will do it myself.

I really just slide mine right inside the entrance, no higher than that

"i twist it to make sure it's on right" the thought of doing that on my cervix is giving me the heebiejeebies

OP posts:
AitchTwoOh · 20/04/2007 22:53

i'm very comfortable with my cervix, honestly. i used to check it when i was ttc. it's an amazing thing. and now it feels totally different since i've had a baby. it was like 'oooh hello old friend, what's changed?'

FrannyandZooey · 20/04/2007 22:55

urk

how marvellous and liberating

sorry it is one of my squeamish things. Mostly because any time anyone has touched it, it is a very UNpleasant sensation

(and I don't honestly get how you all feel your cervixes. Dp's cock is longer than my hand and - luckily - he doesn't usually bang my cervix, so how do you get your hand up there?)

OP posts:
AitchTwoOh · 20/04/2007 23:02

it moves about during the month. it's nearest to the outside when you are ovulating, so easiest to find then but you do have to bear down as if doing a poo and have a bit of a rummage. dh's cock does bang against it rather during ovulation, i particualrly love that feeling.
it's interesting, i had terrible times trying to insert tampons when i was a teenager and i now realise that it's because the 'internal' picture that you see actually isn't representative of my vagina. [bold] [liberated] [might be mortified tomorrow]
if you look at your mooncup illustration my vagina lies much flatter than that, it doesn't point upwards. apparently though it's veyr normal in its unusualness, iykwim? just another thing that women don't have a clue about.

FrannyandZooey · 20/04/2007 23:05

"dh's cock does bang against it rather during ovulation, i particualrly love that feeling."

JESUS GOD are you mad? It makes me jump about 10 foot in the air

Oh that is interesting about the flatness, though. Yes it would make tampons a terrible struggle if you were aiming up. Sex too I would think?

OP posts:
AitchTwoOh · 20/04/2007 23:09

tampons yes, until i got the hang of them, but sex no. in fact i've actually been, er, complimented on it... although standing up is not hugely enjoyable. anyway i'm rather more active having sex than i was at 12 standing with one leg on the bath, a tamp in one hand and an instruction leaflet in the other.

AitchTwoOh · 20/04/2007 23:12

where's the dirty doc? what is/was her job anyway? she told me the other day that deelyboppers were practically de rigeur. i'd pictured her as a shaven-headed Lorraine Bracco from the Sopranos, ministering to the sexually repressed of North London.

Tatties · 20/04/2007 23:14

Jesus no, don't put the Mooncup on your cervix. I think I accidentally put it a bit too high once and I nearly passed out

Not trying to put off any prospective buyers of course

AitchTwoOh · 20/04/2007 23:18

seriously, do you lot all just leave your mooncups hanging around your vaginas, treading water and waiting to be emptied? i'm sure i don't. so when people talk on here about 'breaking the suction' as i have seen many times, where is the suction? where's the partial vacuum?

FrannyandZooey · 20/04/2007 23:19

Aitch you are a dark horse

a dark horse with a horizontal fanjo

NQC is just a big ol' bald mad Canadian lady. That's her job. And I can really see her in deelyboppers.

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 20/04/2007 23:20

Well the vacuum is inside my fanny

it doesn't have to be stuck right up there

it perches neatly at the front door thank you very much

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 20/04/2007 23:21

Tatties that is ok, as long as you don't start going on about eBay

OP posts:
AitchTwoOh · 20/04/2007 23:22

apparently it's not unusual particularly, franny, we're all shapes and sizes inside and out. what is unusual is to be sufficiently inquisitive during a smear that you'd ask the nurse what your fanny is like compared to other people's...
