A few people have asked about this month's order so I thought I had better start a new thread.

(if you ordered last month, I have your Mooncup now and will be posting them on Wednesday 11th April )

If you would like one, please email me on frannyandzooey at india dot com.

The next order date will be May 1st, so the money would need to be in my account by then. I can only accept payment by bank transfer or Paypal (full details on how to do this will be sent when you email me).

Blimey, this is grim stuff to read. I wish you all free from pain and able to conceive the children you want.

Me, went to boots and they are far too expensive.

I ahve just emailed you on the addy that we used for the 'book swap'. Hopefully that is the right one.

Hulababy · 22/04/2007 22:10

How are they for light periods? I have (we believe anyway; still under consultant and waiting for hysterosocopy) adhesions/Asherman's Syndrome, and poss cervical stenosis. Since coming off the pill a few months ago my periods have returned but are very light (despite the horrendous pain). Makes tampons not much use to me, and can be unconmfortable, but not keen on pads TBH. But what would a MC be like?

katzg · 22/04/2007 22:13

sneaks in to ask a quick question:

bought mine months ago but have failed to use it more than once, need some hints and tips to go there again i.e. re-pursaude me of the benefits!

ZoeC · 22/04/2007 22:14

Hula, have used one myself for quite a while now, I am not heavy and it is great. It doesn't draw moisture like tampons and can be more comfortable because of this.

You won't know 'til you try, give it a couple of cycles as they can seem fiddly for a start, but I won't use anything else now.

ZoeC · 22/04/2007 22:16

katzg - it definately took me the first couple or three cycles to get the hang really, I lacked confidence at first and had this silly concern about not being able to get it back out again

Never happened and I just got the hang of it really. All I can suggest is persist for a couple of cycles and see if it clicks for you. You didn't say if you had any specific problem with it (and I almost hesitate to ask for fear of an overly graphic answer )

FrannyandZooey · 22/04/2007 22:16

UCM, probably not - use email in OP if at all possible please everyone

Hula I am sorry to hear about your troubles. I have a fairly light period and find it very comfortable and easy to use. If you are a bit dry when you are inserting it you could just run it under the tap first.

Katz was there something that you didn't like about it? I just find it so nice to not have to dispose of tampons all the time and I actually like seeing what is in there - it's interesting Other posters have said that it makes their periods lighter, shorter or more pain free. I just find it simple and comfortable to use.

(made a mistake in the thread title)

Hulababy · 22/04/2007 22:30

Hmmm....need to read more I think then...

UCM · 22/04/2007 23:49

Can I just add that you need to read the attachment that F&Z sends out before you waffle in your emails as I just have

FrannyandZooey · 23/04/2007 08:10

Don't worry UCM, most people do the same

I just ignore them

OP posts:
katzg · 23/04/2007 08:58

i guess the min probelm is being able to feel the stem when its in despite taking ti very short but my friend said to cut it off completely, but then i'm scared of not getting it out again!

the messy aspect also puts me off, i have very heavy periods and the thought of having to rinse and change it at work in a communal loo.

FrannyandZooey · 23/04/2007 12:40

Well - at work you could just empty it and wipe with toilet paper, or take in a little bottle of water into the cubicle to rinse it. It's fine to only wash it 4 times in 24 hours, so you can get through a working day without a proper wash if you need to.

The tail thing sounds to me like you perhaps need to trim it a little more - or that maybe you have it too near the entrance of your vagina so that it is rubbing against your labia a bit? How about a practice at removing it while you have not got your period, then you could have a good rummage around if necessary - it really will not get lost and there are ridges to help you remove it, even if you have cut the tail off.

Please come back if these suggestions don't help. Someone else may have other ideas.
