A few people have asked about this month's order so I thought I had better start a new thread.

(if you ordered last month, I have your Mooncup now and will be posting them on Wednesday 11th April )

If you would like one, please email me on frannyandzooey at india dot com.

The next order date will be May 1st, so the money would need to be in my account by then. I can only accept payment by bank transfer or Paypal (full details on how to do this will be sent when you email me).

I can't advise from experience on the heavy periods thing, but other people have told me they find a mooncup an improvement. It holds 30 ml of blood which is about a third of the average person's loss during menstruation.

I was scared too so I do understand.

When would I need to order and pay for one this time?BTW I can't believe you do tis or nohing...why not charge us for the postage?

FrannyandZooey · 11/04/2007 12:54

LOL I do charge for the postage, of course! (except this month Royal Mail put their prices up and I didn't notice, grrr)

I just don't make any money on it

You'd need to transfer the money on 26th April at the latest, I reckon

if you want any more info just email me, as I have all the details including how to make the transfer, in one document which I can send you

Still, very kind of you to do this for personal gain!

FrannyandZooey · 13/04/2007 18:16

Scatterbrain (or anyone else)

please follow instructions in OP

now you have to tell us HOW you burnt it

OP posts:
DimpledThighs · 13/04/2007 18:27

I have the email from before but am going to sort it out after much ponificating.

Do you do this purely for the love of the mooncup and desire to spread the word?

scatterbrain · 13/04/2007 18:56

I started another thread - I was boiling it and sat down to Mumsnet - got involved in a few threads, as you do, smelt a slightly odd smell - went to investigate - discovered kitchen full of smoke, all water gone and one brown mooncup sitting in a rather blackened pan !!! Mooncup intact but smelt burnt and very discoloured - so in the bin it has gone !

Sorry - will follow instructions now ! Must read threads properly - sorry !

FrannyandZooey · 13/04/2007 18:56

I reckon I have saved several thousand tampons from going to landfill so far

it makes me feel a bit better when I buy air-freighted supermarket crap or something

Oh DT would you mind sticking an extra 9 p on please? Postage has gone up recently (don't worry if you have already done the transfer)

This month I will be posting by May 9th

oh and come back on the 10 / 10 thread and we will healthify you

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 13/04/2007 18:57

Franny can I ask a question.
I got one last month when my periods restarted (not from you as hadn't seen your posts), but only got it at the end of my period - so had a couple of days use, but v v light flow.
Period started on friday night, put it in friday night - fine, saturday all fine. had sex last night (took it out first obviously) and put it in straight after.
Then woke up at 2am and it was leaking, took it out, cleaned it etc and put it back in. ds2 woke up at 5.30am and I went to feed him and it was leaking again - cleaned and put back in, then ds2 woke up at 8.30am and it was leaking again. Not full, so not 'overflowing' - do they do that? but pretty full (first 2/3 days are heavy flow, then lighter flow for 4/5 days).
Why would this be happening? Is it the sex???? Or is it an overnight thing?? Flow on fri night was just getting going so fairly average whereas flow over the last 24 hours has been v heavy.

FrannyandZooey · 15/04/2007 12:10

ChasingRabbits here is a link to the Mooncup site's own page dealing with leakage . I hope one of the answers there is right for you?

I think the answer could be that after sex and in the middle of the night (understandably) you were not quite getting the insertion right? Or maybe you hadn't quite got the hang of it in the first place? HTH.

OP posts:
ChasingRabbits · 15/04/2007 21:23

thanks Franny, don't think anything on the link applies, and I am pretty sure the positioning is fine, although agree that the immediately after sex the positioning of it might not have been top of my agenda . No problems with it today at all so will just have to see how it goes. Thanks again for replying.

FrannyandZooey · 16/04/2007 08:26

Well stop staggering around in a post-coital haze, you dozy mare, and see if you can get it right

(you have cut the tail bit off? and it really is in nice and low with good suction if you rotate it a bit?)

OP posts:
ellenrose · 16/04/2007 13:32

Just emailed you . . . thanks Franny

ChasingRabbits · 16/04/2007 14:17

yes I have cut the tail off, and yes it's nice and low and good suction. BUT same problem again last night (but without the sex). Completely ok in the day - not a leak in sight. I will just keep trying!!

FrannyandZooey · 16/04/2007 18:23

Oh bizarre

do you think it is something to do with lying down? I know it sounds peculiar but maybe it is getting squidged out of position while you were asleep?

I would try phoning Mooncup directly as I believe they are good at trouble shooting

or there is an email form on their website if you are a bit shy
