**OUCH! BITTEN NIPPS THAT SWELL UP?***

Good lordie, dd had a cold which got her so frustrated as she couldnt breathe to feed that she chomped on my poor nipp, which has now swelled up into a weird white bump/blister thing and is agony to feed from.

She did it a few weeks ago to the same one, and a blood blister appeared at the tip, which disappeared after a few days of very very careful feeds.

But when I feed her she gets distracted by the slightest noise, eg me sneezing, dh coughing on other side of room, and whips her head round while still attatched. Apart from feeding her in a soundproofed box how the heck do I stop her?

She also tugs very hard on the left one, but is an angel on the right?

Any ideas?????????????
ps she is 4.5mths and I am stopping bf at xmas probably...if I can put up with this pain till then!

Evening folks. I'm fine, just knackered. Not a lady of leisure like you lot. Tonight I'm on my own coz dh is at his christmas works do. Have just stuffed my face with pizza. that's green with nausea not envy now.

Off to bed.

good lordie, ds2 has a cold and he cant breathe properly... im watchiing my boobs as he cant breathe properly at all and i dont want it as sore as yours was !!
i spent friday night sleeping upright and holding him up a bit, he woke very hour as he couldnt sleep, so i was knackered yesterday. so last night we tried raising the matteress a bit in his cot to lift his head but it didna work so he slept next to me raised up a bit on my pillow. ( i know, i know ,they not suppossed to have pillows etc etc) i dosed him up on calpol last night before bed as well, and guess what he slept from 8pm right through till 6am !!!!! the first time ever ever ever!! i didnt sleep through i kept waking to check on him.

my boobs were so full and rock hard though so as as soon as he was awake i fed him from both sides this morning.

anyway, felt i had to share that with you, im the only one in the house with out a cold so we didnt go london yesterday as we planned, maybe next weekend. ( we have a free train travel ticket to be used by 31st dec, so want to make the most of it.)

have a nice, we are putting our decs up later, we watched santa claus the movie yesterday to get us all in the mood it doesnt seem like it was made in 1984, oh dear oh dear i feel old(ish)

our tree is up, but with no decs or lights!!!! we've lost them in the attic somewhere! so we are doing a very chic 'naked tree' look at the mo.

set up the high chair lastnight, fed dd from it today, she loves it. let her bang around with a spoon and she was chuckling away...

I ate another whole choc orange yesterday...so no chocolate today. At All.

I bet London is busy this time of year, Worley! I am not going to the Trafford Centre now until February. Good riddence, I bought all my xmas pressies off eBay. Bargain christmas!

well i half decorated the front room. we put the ceilings trimmings up. just have the back room to do, we have some snow spray which i cant wait to use as my mum would never ever let us have any, so now i am going to use all of it. (on the back windows, we have some santa stained glass cling things for the front) !!!!!
we will put the tree up next weekend, we have to rearrange the furniture to fit in in, as last year we brought a new setee and like wallys we didnt think to measure what size we would need, so its a bit big (but very comfy when i was preggers.)

i dont decorate the kitchen, theres not room to swing a cat in there...

well ds slept from 8 till 11, then bf and slept from 11.30 till 5.30 then wouldnt sleep and was talking/moaning till 7, when i fell asleep and didnt notice my dp turning the alram off at 7.30 so when i woke at 8.30 i thought s**t, ds1 was late for school, we got there at 9.30 and he was due on stage for his xmas play at 9.45. i got disaproving looks of his teacher!!! luckily he made it and i get to watch him tomorrow

you'll never guess what part he got in the play!!!!

a chinese man!!!

what that has to do with christmas i dont know, i tell you all about it tomorrow when i find out myself!!

Our christmas tree is drying on newspaper in the kitchen and we are going to decorate it this afternoon. Dd didn't wake us this morning so we woke NATURALLY at 9.15! Dh was late for work but then he is the boss. He has felt rotten all weekend so was going to take half a day anyway. He's been moaning about his throat for ages and when I had a look this morning he has tonsilitis. Yuk.

Bollocks! Just been bitten again, but no blood this time! We didn't get our tree up afterall and there is a stack of ironing the size of K2....and I can't be arsed.

ds2 used to go days with out a poo, but scince hes been "eating" hes doing about 3-4 a day, its unbelievable, im getting through so many nappies. and it smells, it never smelt when it was breast milk.
what bit you jenster? not your dd still?
are you still bf now you have bump number 2 ?

Yup still feeding morning and night. As for the nappies she has diarrhoea at the moment and they are foul....and we are washable ones too......

Evening all!
Got my tree up.
DD has been mesmerised

Now dd is on 'proper' food, she gets some days with very little poo but then makes up for it with a vengeance.
I find 'food' poo much easier to clean up than milk poo.
Mind you, I worked in a nursing home so any poo smaller than adult size is a treat to clean up!!!!!

Got her 4th tooth through now. dh passed comment that he gave her a raisin and she caught the skin of his thumb in her teeth.
I think he was looking for sympathy. I politely reminded him that my boobs dice with danger several times a day, without me complaining that much

Guess what!
I rang up docs for my blood test results, and all fine except for 'low blood sugar' so nurse told me to 'eat more'
fabulous...just in time for christmas. The odd thing is, I already eat loads, I have never dieted, and I ate loads on the morning I had the test done, so I dont get why my blood sugar was low. But I am not arguing.

Also amusing is that they have 'lost' the pregnancy test result they did...so I need to do another one (!!?)

I am really enjoying this December, as I used to work in retail, we did 60hour weeks at this point. It is so lovely being at home and getting to watch christmassy telly and plan christmas day and wonder round the shops for the perfect centrepiece etc etc. I never want to work again. We need to win the lottery.

Love to you guys...any ideas for winning numbers???

I was terrified of teeth arriving, until they did!
A sharp 'NO' and swift removal from boob a couple of times sorted out madam's biting tendencies.
Now we just have the odd accidental nip.

I'm glad to be bf. dd is thriving on it, and people always comment on how content and happy she looks. I am sure that bf is the reason.
It appeals to my idle nature as well. No bottles, measuring formula and carting ruddy great bags of gubbins everywhere I go.
Just get the baps out !!!!!

Going out to face the elements now, hope the pram doesn't take off

i love bf to, i'll be sad when i have to give up, but it seems quite a way off as yet. ds2 doesnt like his prescription milk and firmly clamps his mouth shut when he is offered it. instead i mix it in with his rice and veg/fruit.
when i go back to work i will still be bf morning and night. and while hes at nursery he will have to have whatever i can express (not very good at it though) and water, so long as he is getting milk mixed in with his dinner he will be ok.

im not looking forward to the teeth also, it hurts too much when he nips now with his gums. i tell him no, but when i yell ouch he turns to look at me and still doesnt let go, he rips around to see what im on about. little monkey!!
