You may or may not have spottedfrom another thread that Essbee's DS is in hospital with kawasaki disease. He still has a high temperature, is very tearful but being quite brave. His lips are still too sore to drink/talkbut they're trying to do without the IV drip so he's trying to take sips although even a straw is painful.

Should anyone fancy sending him something to cheer him up, (and having quizzed essbee) apparently the new version of "Shoot Out" cards is out now and he got quite into it last season - was gutted when the cards finished IIRC.

Sorry to hear things are still so bad essbee I do hope he turns a corner soon, it must be terrible for you.

Carmenere · 02/11/2006 19:56

Essbee love and light at this time, I am so sorry that you are still going through this. I still think you are a really strong woman, keep strong.

Oh dear essbee. I really hope his temperature stays down. Do you get much sleep or is he restless at night? Is he still having the nosebleeds?

hope he continues to recover well and you all get back to normal soon

GameGirly · 03/11/2006 11:26

Essbee, I can't imagine how you are coping at all at the moment. You're amazing. I'm thinking of you and DS, and also DD whose usual life is undoubtedly up in the air a bit too at the moment. Soupdragon, ok if I e-mail you and ask for Essbee's address so I can send a little something? You seem to be "in charge"?!

saggarmakersbottomknocker · 03/11/2006 11:29

Fingers crossed he keeps improving essbee. Maybe worth giving him some minadex or similar to help bolster his immune system. It must have taken a fair bashing.

The wine sounds brill, you deserve a nice evening.

anorak · 03/11/2006 11:45

You shouldn't be worrying about keeping him off school on top of everything else. Sod school. Keep him home as long as it takes. It's going to take time to get him well again.

sunchowder · 03/11/2006 15:38

I agree with Anorak here, please try not to worry about school. I hope he is better today, thinking of all of you.

Glad to hear DS is a little brighter today, essbee - fingers crossed he continues that way.

I agree that you shouldn't worry too much about school. It is best to make sure DS is totally fit & healthy first.

Thinking of you, as always.xx

Tiggiwinkle · 03/11/2006 19:57

I hope he is continung to feel a bit better essbee. I would definitely keep him away from school for a while yet-so many bugs and colds around at this time of year and he is bound to be prone to pick things up after being so ill. Look after yourself as well!

Esbee, sorry I didn't see your last post to me. I'll ask my friend how long her ds was ill, as I can't remember offhand.
Sorry you've had to go in again, I know what it's like only too well - no sleep city.
