...and it really bloody hurts , I can hardly swallow. And I have got aches and little stabbing pains all over, and I look like a hamster because my glands are all swollen, and my skin feel like one giant bruise all over. AND a a new cold sore. I have caught a virus from ds1, who has had it for over a week now, and has a burst eardrum.

Just wanted to whinge and moan, really

Oh, is that what that sound is? I thought I could hear the clacking of emaciated vegetarian finger-bones

FrannyandZooey · 26/09/2006 12:53

At least my brain is still residing inside my cranium and not shoved in a swing bin under an old kleenex and a q tip

GreenLumpyTonsils · 26/09/2006 12:54

Are you sure?

Yup, it's in there somewhere!

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 26/09/2006 12:54

What if its some of your lung lining?

GreenLumpyTonsils · 26/09/2006 12:56

Naw, it definitely came from...higher up. It might have been a big polyp or something...it looked a bit like a blood-streaked jellyfish, but more fibrous....

GreenLumpyTonsils · 26/09/2006 13:00

Oh that's right, lets all mock the afflicted

FrannyandZooey · 26/09/2006 13:00

Jesus god Greeny will you go to the doctor?

sugarfree · 26/09/2006 13:01

What happened to the hand washing soft touch?

sugarfree · 26/09/2006 13:02

We'll be needing Quincy at this rate, not a GP.

GreenLumpyTonsils · 26/09/2006 13:02

I have BEEN to the effing doctor. I have VER STRONG antibiotics. AND I am feeling a bit better today! I don't want to go out again, it's cold

GreenLumpyTonsils · 26/09/2006 13:03

Honestly, I think schnorrting that thing out has really helped, I can hear in my left ear again now I am definitely On The Mend!

sugarfree · 26/09/2006 13:04

Most things are better out than in,I find.

FrannyandZooey · 26/09/2006 13:05

what, including brain tissue?

sugarfree · 26/09/2006 13:06

now,I really expected a response that mentioned sex there!

FrannyandZooey · 26/09/2006 13:08

I would never stoop to dirty sex jokes on Greeny's thread, sugarfree

oliveoil · 26/09/2006 13:09

I had something wrong with my nose once, and my cheek ached when I lay down (!!!)

blew my nose one morning and sounded HORRIFIC so after dh glared at me once too often, I retired to my bedroom and blew again

and then (TMI TMI TMI TMI) I pulled out a string of white stuff about 7 cm long, stretchy and not disimilar to the look of a Cheese String

and I felt a lot better then

it's good to share

GreenLumpyTonsils · 26/09/2006 13:10

Oy, none of that or I'll resurect dumbfluff at you

GreenLumpyTonsils · 26/09/2006 13:10

See, I'm not the only person hosting bizarre and hideous alien parasites - OO has had one too!

oliveoil · 26/09/2006 13:14

I diagnosed myself, without any medical knowledge whatsoever, that the reason my cheek ached when I lay down, was that the Cheese String was moving about!

GreenLumpyTonsils · 26/09/2006 13:15

Did you cut it in half to see whether it grew a new head?

sugarfree · 26/09/2006 13:21

Nooooo,not Dumbfluff pleeeeease!
Stop sharing your head-alien stories at once!

puff · 26/09/2006 15:13

OMG but lol at the lump of brain-like tissue stuff. Glad you feel you are improving Greeny, but anymore UFO's like that, please keep and take to Doctor. How did it get out of your nose (just thinking general nostril size, although they do have some give I suppose)!

Issymum · 26/09/2006 15:18

Greenthing: You may have very strong antibiotics but they may not be the right ones. I had tonsilitis earlier this year, was put on one lot of antibiotics and continued to get worse until I was prescribed a good old-fashioned course of Penicillin. So if things don't improve radically and with antibiotics they should, you need to go back to your GP.

GreenLumpyTonsils · 26/09/2006 16:37

That's what I've got, penicillin, quite a high dose apparently - I think it is working, my temperature has come down and I feel much better. (125 posts, what a fusspot I am )

Puff - you asked for it - it didn't come out of my nostril, I snorted it out of my sinus into my mouth and then spat it into a tissue . Honestly, it looked like a big lump of flesh with little blood vessels in it
