Cow milk and pus.

Google 'cow milk pus'.
I dare you.

Milk is NOT all its cracked up to be. It's time we took this seriously.

Also I'm seeing more and more evidence to back up my hunch that the onset of my ds's type 1 diabetes is linked to his dairy intolerance.

It's time we woke up to the white stuff. Most people are in denial and won't even consider that it could be anything but a good wholesome drink.

Take your pick.

Joolstoo · 26/08/2006 22:56

ladies if you could all squeeze together and look this way

say 'CHEESE'

sorrell · 26/08/2006 22:58

Saying 'pus' gives you a lovely pout though. Just like Posh has.

fistfullofnappies · 26/08/2006 22:59

Id be surprised if most people who would like to see less cows milk in food are militant vegans. Id have thought that most of them would be either allergic/intolerant to it, or imaginative enough to understand the problems suffered by those who are.

CountTo10 · 26/08/2006 23:00

See going off on a slight tangent - cheese on toast you just can't knock in it and any suggestions on hair styles now posh has stolen the one I wanted - damn that woman!!!!

BrookeandTaylorsmummy · 26/08/2006 23:01

Cheese on toast now I am hungry damn it! Is it true that cheese before bed gives you nightmares??

MoreTeaAnyone · 26/08/2006 23:02

Dh had queen's toast when he came home from work. Lovely. French toast with melted cheese in the middle. Yum.

My hair is shit, don;t ask me about styles.

suejonez · 26/08/2006 23:02

only if you're vegan

CountTo10 · 26/08/2006 23:03

I've had many a late night snack of c.o.t and never had nightmares so dig in!!

bobsmum · 26/08/2006 23:06

My cat drinks cows' milk and so do any of the hedgehogs that visit our garden. We are not the only animals who drink other animals' milk

BrookeandTaylorsmummy · 26/08/2006 23:06

Good I'll have some with a dash of worcestershire sauce and I wanted that haircut that posh has too!Might just get it anyway cos my hair looks crap at the mo!

fistfullofnappies · 26/08/2006 23:15

I do find it puzzling why people are such passionate defenders of cows milk. Like its going to save their lives and send them to heaven or something.

CountTo10 · 26/08/2006 23:16

I will not be drawn in , I will not be drawn in.....

sorrell · 26/08/2006 23:17

You don't have to love milk (I don't, personally) to feel pretty strongly about scaremongering, lying, extremist propaganda.

TooTicky · 26/08/2006 23:18

So could I sue my infants school teacher who used to force me to drink the horrid stuff? I had to miss every playtime.

CountTo10 · 26/08/2006 23:18

And why was it never kept in a fridge?????

TooTicky · 26/08/2006 23:18

Sorrell, why do you think it's all untrue?

Joolstoo · 26/08/2006 23:19

bloody hell bobsmum your cat and Mrs Tiggywinkle are DOOMED!!!!!

MoreTeaAnyone · 26/08/2006 23:19

Heads down ladies, I think we're going in

Round 2!!!!!

TooTicky · 26/08/2006 23:20

Countto10, the sound of slurping through thin blue straws still turns my stomach!
Seriously, Sorrell, why are you so defensive? I can almost see your hackles from here.

sorrell · 26/08/2006 23:20

Because it isn't! Cows milk is not a 'deadly poison' for a start. This stuff has no scientific validity. These sites use words like 'pus' because it sounds revolting and dangerous. The could use 'infection-fighting white blood cells, which breast milk is also full of' but of course they don't, because that undermines the propaganda effect.

suejonez · 26/08/2006 23:21

I don't like milk much but have just performed a scientific study (to be published in "Milk drinkers Digest" in October 07) which shows that we humans live longer than most other mammals because we drink cows milk so I have decided to start drinking it.

sorrell · 26/08/2006 23:21

What I am 'defensive' about?

snowleopard · 26/08/2006 23:26

What's so terrible about pus?

fistfullofnappies · 26/08/2006 23:28

sorrel, the pus thing is a red herring, but amusing.

Please understand, that cows milk IS a poison to a small minority of us. It ruined around 5 years of my life, before I finally accepted that I was reacting to it. (Kept convincing myself it was something else and eating it again and getting ill) Therefore, when I say that cows milk is the devils food, it is for me.

why do you seem to want to make like people like me dont exist, or everything we say is just lying, extremist propaganda?
