Apologies for the bingo reference, couldn't think of a witty title but the other thread is very nearly full.

In honour of our new thread I have piled extra apple pudding on the trolley so tuck in :)

Tiny - I did go for it and I am BRCA2 positive. I have three children, so I want them to have information to make their own decisions when they are older. DS1 already had an unconnected genetic condition.
Because I have BRCA2 I also have an increased risk of ovarian cancer so will have to have a salpingo-oophrectomy (sp?).

Gigondas · 27/11/2013 21:25

I had genetic testing - negative for brca, bowel cancer gene but potentially carry defective p53 gene. They are seeing if can link defect to my cousin who has ovarian cancer .

We need a new thread, I would do it but can't make up thread titles.

Welcome to Au, so sorry you are here. We will hold out the virtual box of tissues and keep you company if you have sleepless nights. You will get through it if you go one day at a time.

Really, the hair is a big deal, I have cried over a poor cut before! So have a weep and then put on your pirate hat and pretend to be jack sparrow.

Morning gigs and Kitkat
I'm going for coffee with a friend so can't take myself back to bed this morning boo!
Is it the steroids keeping you awake gigs ?

Gigondas · 28/11/2013 08:36

I don't know- didn't have any yesterday but I have noticed before after large dose that can take a day or so to wear off. I was feeling very jittery and then a bit sad/anxious which didn't help.

Could also be that lazed around all day so going to try to keep active today.

Tiny100 · 28/11/2013 10:59
