Its up to you how many or what type - but post here when you've done your daily dose & help to spur others on !
I'm not a fitness expert (so don't sue me if you pull a muscle ) but I've Googled some tips

Excecises
Not too many sit ups ! Do 'bicyles' too! (Bottom of link)

Off to do mine now !

I'll join you whizzz. Thank you! Have just done 25 of the simple ones, and a bit of bicycling. Will continue tomorrow, and try to up the numbers.

Is there anybody else here, anybody here, here, here

FlameBoo · 25/06/2006 12:03

I've done a few on the first link, but I am getting very confused by the bicycle description!! HELP!

(3 yr old DD is on the floor "doin muscles" with me )

waterfalls · 25/06/2006 12:23

One tip I was given by an instructer when doing sit ups, is to imagine you are holding an orange under your chin, this ensures you are using your stomach muscles correctly and avoids neck strains.

spursmum · 25/06/2006 12:40

Wait for meeeeee!!!!
Im going to do the bicycle ones because I've got a dodgy back and anything that doesn't aggravate it is good by me!!!
Am going to aim for 20 a day then increase by 5 every day(hopefully!)

stitch · 25/06/2006 17:57

i went to the gym today. was inspired.
did 25 normal ones with little air cushion pancake thing under back.
then did cardio.
then did two sets of fifteen useing the 5kg weight ball that you hold up. dont know how to describe it.
cycling one s look hard on back?

Whizzz · 25/06/2006 21:47

Well done all
I'm also going to do a few before bed !

FlameBoo · 27/06/2006 09:50

Whizzz · 27/06/2006 16:23

OP posts:
bresha · 27/06/2006 17:21

I did some 2day, not many though, about 20, will try and do a couple more each time.
I got one off those gym ball things the other day, really cool, the kids love but Ii didn?t come with a workout or anything. Any one know how you are actually supposed to use it? Iv been rolling around the house on it like an idiot.

gladbag · 27/06/2006 17:44

I did some this morning. Ached a bit from yesterday, but I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not.....either doing it wrong, ot it's working!

Which dvd did you buy Whizzz? (sorry to be nosey)

stitch · 27/06/2006 17:46

i love the gym ball things. so much you can do.
im not an expert at all, so hopefully i wont be telling you to do anything wrong.

sit on the ball. then sort of roll it along your body, so your head and neck are resting on it as if on a pillow, and the rest of your body is sort of forming a bench. your knees at right angles, sitting positoion. hands on hips, lower them to the floor, then pull them up, so everything clenched up tight, including buttocks. do fifteen times.
you can also do some wieghts with it as well. you really need a link with pictures. will see if i can find one.
hth

whizz, no sit ups yet, though have been running round like a loony all day.

moondog · 27/06/2006 17:49

I do 30 a day.
Just before getting into bed.

The swiss ball is great.
It is worth going to an aerobics class for good ideas on how to use it.
The physio I saw for my bad back said you can do everything with one of these and resistance bands.

Whizzz · 28/06/2006 10:47

I bought Bev Callard - Lasting Results
I have done the first workout this morning (30mins) although I took it easy (you do feel a bit of a idiot though leaping about in your living room - luckily we aren't overlooked by anyone )
