Good luck tomorrow malt will be thinking of you .

KurriKurri · 24/07/2013 22:35

She is much the same thanks Gig - a bit wobbly, but eating well. She doesn't much like this heat, she's made a nest in a coolish corner of our bedroom Smile

How is pain level today? - any improvement?

jchocchip · 24/07/2013 22:50

All the best for Thursday, malt.

Gigondas · 24/07/2013 22:52

Bit wobbly due to bruising journey home in taxi but better kurri. Glad old lady dog eating and nesting-don't think anyone likes this heat.

Copthallresident · 24/07/2013 23:05

Very quick post as American friend has me on a skeduuuule, almost as early as Malt tomorrow, but will be thinking of you. Am sure it will be fine.

Having such fun, as she has no boring English restraint, got prossecco served after hours in Hampton Court, just us in the courtyard of the Palace, just had a British Rail guard at the local station helping her on the train. Confused

Especially enjoying her saying to everyone "Congratulations on your Prince"and then when they say "Are you interested in the Royal Family then?" (thinking stereotypical American) she says " Oh no I am a fervent Republican, I don't believe in royal lines at all........"

Hugs to all

topsyturner · 24/07/2013 23:09

KK I made pig/dog some ice pops
I filled old water bottles with chicken stock and popped them in the freezer
Once frozen , cut plastic off and give to dog .
(Just make sure you make her keep it out in the garden , and not let her drag it back into the kitchen like pig/dog did ...)

Gigs was taxi driven by The Stig ?
Why so bumped about ?
maybe you were drunk from "business lunch"

Malt all the best for the morning .
You will breeze through it , I have faith in you x

Waves madly at Gracie

Nighty night ladies .
Gonna try and get some kip now .

topsyturner · 24/07/2013 23:10

X post Copt
Loving the sound of your American visitor Grin

kitkat1967 · 24/07/2013 23:23

only just got in from meal out with DH and friends but just wanted to say good luck to Malt for tomorrow as you will probably be gone before I'm up in the morning. You will be fine Smile.

Copthallresident · 25/07/2013 00:25

kitkat I assume I just friended you, there is also a group, MAS is gatekeeper, search Tamoxifen. It is handy for secret stuff Grin Then we can all uncloak with our real names.......

Gigondas · 25/07/2013 05:40

Yes the stig was driving as problem was when he raced over speed bumps..topsy. So between bruised bum and roid rage haven't slept much. Can thoroughly recommend the Taylor and burton drama on iplayer. Dominic west and Helena bonham carter are fab.

Copt I did wonder why the Hampton court visit-American sounds fun.

Kitkat -sounds like you are on normal bit of cycle -yay.

Malt thinking of you sweetie x.

malteserzz · 25/07/2013 06:20

Morning all
Gigs sorry you've not slept much
Today's the day for me Hmm
I hope they're nice at the hospital

Gigondas · 25/07/2013 06:23

They will be malt. Brew Anyone?

malteserzz · 25/07/2013 06:39

Yes please no sugar
What are you up to today ?

Gigondas · 25/07/2013 07:16

Got various appt - dietician (who is lovely), dressing change (am allowed to change it myself -woo hoo- but get it checked once a week) and then first Physio appt to work on my neck/arm.

But up in nice bit of town so will squeeze in lunch and maybe some shopping.

notJenkins · 25/07/2013 07:23

What time are you going in malt ?

I am up and throwing croissants and green tea on the trolley.

First day of the school holidays here and I have a couple of days off work. Car in for MOT this morning and we have the first rain for weeks just in time for me to walk back from the garage. Lovely. Also have 2 house viewings so the children will be delighted to spend the day tidying and watching my mad cleaning frenzy I am sure.

I have done the frozen stock lollies for the hounds too and they love it but it can be messy so outdoor treat only. Hope old lady dog is ok kk

I am off to the GP later to discuss my manic artificial hormone cycle. Hopefully she will be helpful and not just tell me to speak to the onc. I am not actually seeing anyone (apart from the scanner) at the hospital until October which seems a long time to wait. Typically I feel ok at the moment so my GP will just think I am a loon.

NedSchneebly · 25/07/2013 09:25

Blimey, being on holiday is hard work!

Sorry, been absent - been in school this week, trying to get my new classroom and job share sorted. Think I am nearly there.

Just a swift post to wish malt all the best for chemo #1 today - once today is done, its one to tick off and one step closer to the end. Thninking of you lots, lovely x x

Waves to everyone, will come back later and catch up properly, I promise

Lots of love and hugs x x x

MaryAnnSingleton · 25/07/2013 09:38

Hey malt hope it's all going well....I've made some nice coffee ...will be thinking of you as we're walking around Minsmere later

I'm home now thanks for your well wishes Smile
Had a lovely nurse who was so kind. No problems with it going in etc.
Bit gutted about cold cap as it didn't seem that cold to me and though I kept asking they said no conditioner necessary and only to stay on for half an hour after so I'm resigned to it not working and have booked a wig appointment
Had steroids and anti sickness tablets, I've got sickness tablets to take just tomorrow- ondansetron, then more to take if I feel sick metoclopramide. Also anti biotics to start on Tuesday
Feel relieved that bits over but now just sitting here waiting to feel ill !!

GoodbyeRubyTuesday · 25/07/2013 11:44

Hi malt I was just coming on to wish you well, only recently woken up, but see you're already finished! :) that sounds similar to what the women at my unit did with the cold cap, none of them used conditioner and I haven't noticed anyone keeping it on for long afterwards but at least one still has her hair (haven't seen others recently) so don't give up hope yet :) but good idea to have wig fitting just in case, it's probably better while you still have your hair so they can match colour/style if you want the same? I hope you have a relaxing day now x

I slept for nearly twelve hours and only woke once GrinGrinGrin best night I've had since before first op! Woohoo for the amitripyline :)

Just about to go to town so will rush off now :) hugs to all!
