The port site's still sore and the tramadol mix painkillers made me nauseous (I already knew codeine does this so asked for something different.. Luckily I had some anti nausea meds left from last chemo :) Hopefully it will be better with a second night's sleep.

Trice - your dog party sounds hilarious.

sparklesunshine · 06/06/2013 04:52

Morning Betsy. It's almost 11pm here so I've not slept yet. I'm on night patrol for UK overnight anxieties here, and by the time I get them you guys are all up. Smile

malteserzz · 06/06/2013 04:53

Morning sparkle and Betsy Smile

amberlight · 06/06/2013 05:13

Wide awake.

BetsyBoop · 06/06/2013 05:18

Hope the discomfort from the port site eases soon sparkles

Definitely wide awake club here, which I'd ridiculous as I know I won't actually find out anything today. I just want to know now how bad it is (or not). I'm not very good at waiting...

BetsyBoop · 06/06/2013 05:19

Which is ridiculous. Damn iPhone autocorrect...

malteserzz · 06/06/2013 05:20

The waiting is the worst thing isn't it I'm wide awake too don't want to be don't feel I'll ever sleep properly again
What time is your appointment Betsy ? Are you worried about the MRI itself ?

BetsyBoop · 06/06/2013 05:34

MRI is 1220, then more biopsies at 1500, so I'll be hanging around a while (guess I'd better get used to that Hmm

Not at all bothered by MRI process in fact I am the sort of sad person who will find it interesting as I've not had one before. Grin

Yes the waiting is pants. For what your surgeon said it sounds like you should get a good result thoughSmile. (doesn't make the waiting to know for sure any easier though...)

Gigondas · 06/06/2013 07:41

MRI is hot and noisy Betty but if you don't mind small spaces , to will be fine. Hope all goes ok.

Sorry that still not sleeping well and worried - hope appt comes soon so can get plan together so know what is happening next malt. You taking it easy today ?

Had much more peaceful night here but under orders not to do much today by mr gig. Got another day trip to hospital so can check pump/change sponge.

topsyturner · 06/06/2013 08:01

Copthallresident · 06/06/2013 08:02

trice I have a dog I love dearly but it was was hard enough to train him to behave appropriately in the park without having to add party etiquette into the mix and add parties to he many places he embarasses me in Very odd inviting a whole pack of them. Glad you still managed a good gossip.

Malt Also beware the post GA blues, you probably had a light dose but should you come on here feeling down we will remind you.....

Betsy hope scans and biopsies go well.

Sparkle sorry you are sore and glad all your divorce problems sorted and money in bank.

Available for Apprentice gossip wherever whenever, without wanting to do spoilers, anyone spot my 3 secs of fame!!!!

EarthMotherImNot · 06/06/2013 08:05

Good morning allSmile I slept around 4 hours straight and other than my back being painful, as usual, I feel better for itSmile

MRI is the one I don't like but as Gig says if your ok with the noise and feeling squished you'll be fine.

I don't know if its the same everywhere but our hospital gives you headphones and you can either have something of theirs playing in your ear or take your own music with you. You also get a button thingy to press if you want them to have a break.

I have someone coming today to see if a small space next to our downstairs toilet could possible take a shower. Watch this space, it would make life so much better. My MacMillan nurse has advised I don't tell them I managed to get upstairs the other day. A: they will take that as a sign I don't need one. B: eventually I won't be able to get up there so better getting the mess sorted out now.

My other problem is my younger sister who wants to visit today. Our DD's our upset with her as she only visited twice while I was in hospital, I was there a month! On top of that she was, apparently, on facebook, saying she was having a wonderful day in her garden on a number of occasions, she only lives 10 minutes from the hospital.

I know people struggle with the idea of what to say etc etc but I just want her to be comfortable around me, without an atmosphere. Should I have a quiet word before she gets here or hope for the best Confused

Copthallresident · 06/06/2013 08:07

Xposted gig and topsy.

Topsy Headache will be strimmer related nothing to do with bus shelter shenanigans

gigs bet you appreciated comfy bed, lovely day to take it easy.

OP posts:
Copthallresident · 06/06/2013 08:12

Emin I would definitely ask DDs to be nice to DS as a favour to you. It is your relationship with her that matters when she is visiting you, not their feelings towards her.

Hope you can get your shower.

OP posts:
trice · 06/06/2013 08:14

Good morning all. It probably feels like afternoon for those who were up so early!

Good luck for today Betsy. I hope they get a really clear look at your insides and that they are all healthy.

Gig, I hope the dressing change is swift and painless.

I am going out for a coffee with my lovely friend who is a fan of alternative therapies. She does a daily coffee enema and keeps crystals in her dry goods to energise them. But she is very funny and intelligent and kind so we will have a great time.

Gigondas · 06/06/2013 08:53

Emin-agree with Copt but speak to dsis face to face. Her excuse may be not so much what to say but finds it hard to see her sis so poorly. I know it distresses my sis. Not an excuse, an explanation maybe you could talk about?

Topsy- I diagnose rum and loud strimmer issues. This will help [[http://thezoepages.files.wordpress.com/2012/09/cr-2.jpg orange medicine]{
Runs to watch apprentice to chat to Copt but first question is surely all 3 should go? Lord sugar just had it in for Rebecca from few weeks ago.

And I hate hate petulant dr Leah eye rolling.

Gigondas · 06/06/2013 08:54

Another link orange fix

topsyturner · 06/06/2013 09:03

JESUS WEPT GIGS !!!!!
You could have given me a bit of warning !!!!!

Grin
Gigondas · 06/06/2013 09:09

Feel better?GrinGrin The shiny troos make it.

I notice we all have various orange men we like but no one says him.

this is for Copt and apprentice fans [[

EarthMotherImNot · 06/06/2013 09:40

I threw up in my mouth then, yuckkkkShock

MaryAnnSingleton · 06/06/2013 09:46

I must be weird because orange men don't do it for me - and that last one was hideous gig

MaryAnnSingleton · 06/06/2013 09:47

Cliff I meant- can't see orange women...

smee · 06/06/2013 10:07

WWWahhh.. Gig's is it the drugs that made you search for Cliff?! Grin second link doesn't work for me either, though that sounds like a good thing..

Betsy, I'm a bit like you so interested in things like scanners rather than freaked. I've had a few and have never been offered music, so I make up funky beats with the noises. Even got told off once for foot tapping. Blush Everyone's right, this is the hardest bit. I felt like I could cope with anything once I had all my results in, but up to then I was a basket case.

How's the pain, Malt? Are you feeling sore or not too bad?

Trice, that dog party sounded insane. I like dogs, but a whole pack wouldn't be my idea of fun. Gin sounded essential! Grin

Earth, I'd be honest with your sis and try and have a laugh about it if you can to clear the air.

Copt, haven't watched Apprentice, but I'm sure you looked gorgeous because we are twins Grin

Cancer of the forehead again, Topsy? Can I join you with cancer of the shoulder? Obviously mine could be due to pulling up a ruddy great root from the garden, but that would be far too logical. Am giving pesky miss P a swift kick from both of us.

How's exam time, MAS? Has DS many more to go?

Sunny here, loads to do so had better get on. Will nip in later so long as there's no more orange..

Gigondas · 06/06/2013 10:22

No I didn't hunt fir cliff (honest) just found him on another thread .
