Another shiny thread

No annoying man is a few doors down so can't hear his parties at night. Don't have the chatty cleaner or night nurse. So not too bad although feeling bloody knackered. Hospital not restful.

Nor is it good for my bank balance as have been ordering more supplements and on the playmobil website doing stocking fillers.

Hi everyone, sorry I have awol for so long. I wanted to give everyone my love.

MAS - I am so sorry about what you are going through. I am glad the mindfulness is helping keep you calm. I shall be thinking of you tomorrow and sending you so many positive vibes. x

MaryAnnSingleton · 13/09/2012 12:22

I do eat lots of watercress !

MaryAnnSingleton · 13/09/2012 12:23

waves to sparkle - how are things ?

SparkleRainbow · 13/09/2012 12:32

Things are fine, just a bit frantic getting the kids back to school and all of ds's care plans set up. He is a bit down at the moment and not sure why, but I will get him sorted out. I subluxed my neck 3 weeks ago, so have been in a lot of pain, but getting there now, will be able to start doing physio soon, and managed to do some cleaning today....that was stressful not being able to even vacuum and watch the house getting horridly dirty, I thought of you more than once and thought how not even mindfulness could have let you relax in my house.
How are you bearing up, is T ok?

MaryAnnSingleton · 13/09/2012 12:53

oh you poor thing - hope the physio helps - sorry to hear that ds is feeling down Sad
I'm fine - just wanting to get to tomorrow to know what's happening. T is fine -back into school mode, which means crossness ! Haven't spoken to him about stuff yet, will wait until we know what's happening but am sure he'll be fine with it.
Would anyone like a Belgian choc rice cake ? they are lovely and semi healthy.

Shakey1500 · 13/09/2012 13:02

Thank you all for the kind welcome. No weight loss for her smee, she's a bit overweight and struggles generally with her weight but no crash diets etc.

We're awaiting hospital appointment so I'll go with her then.

All best wishes to you all

MaryAnnSingleton · 13/09/2012 13:57

will be sending good vibes to your sister shakey

Am having abdomen and pelvis ct scan tomorrow after onc. as the appointment they sent ion the post today doesn't fit in with period cycle- how very complicated- anyway, gets it over and done with.

overthemill · 13/09/2012 14:55

mas nothing to add to what everyone else has said in terms of usefulness but just ending you postive vibes. live every day

amberlight · 13/09/2012 14:58

Yes please for the Belgian choc rice cake
Can add Brew

amberlight · 13/09/2012 15:01

MAS PS can add something more directly useful when you know more yourself from the tests.

smee · 13/09/2012 15:09

MAS how annoying that they didn't do the full CT when they did your lungs.

Shakey, hmmm.... haven't got any other ideas, but I do know inverted nipples aren't always sinister, so take heart from that. Let us know when the appointment is.

Gigondas · 13/09/2012 15:29

mas that is pants about ct scan but do know you have to do it at right time of month (not currently an issue for me).

shakey wishing your sis luck at appt but as others have said can be lots of reasons for inversion and at least it will be checked.

Am so tired - want a cup of tea but can't be arsed to get up and make it.

topsyturner · 13/09/2012 16:35

My CTs are chest , pelvis and abdo .
But I have never been told (or asked) about my periods !
Is this the norm then ?
And why do they not want to do them at that time of the month ?

Gigondas · 13/09/2012 16:40

I was Told it was precaution about pregnancy when asked . They have stopped worrying about it now (although it's still in standard blurb I get on letter) but from what they said to mas might be more to it than that.

You have been quiet topsy- have you been stalking Tom jones?

OP posts:
graciesmall09 · 13/09/2012 16:46

Great news amber glad your appointment went well. You will enjoy your party now.

mas bit of a bummer about CTs but it will be good to know what treatment is planned.

topsy They won't do CTs at certain times of the month just in case you are pregnant. DH has been 'fixed' so they never ask me now.

shakey glad to see you found the thread. Has your sis got her appointment yet? Keeping everything crossed for her.

Sorry haven't been about much laptop has gone to laptop hospital so I am currently fighting to gain control of desktop. I fear my mumnetting will be curtailed Sad. Thinking of you all and sending hugs where needed.

topsyturner · 13/09/2012 16:58

Aah that explains it .
I obviously look far too old and haggered to be asked about pregnancy any more Grin

Am being quiet this week Gigs
Feeling a bit mopey .
I get like this when I'm waiting for CT results (Monday afternoon)
But links to very orange men might help me .
If not , send jam doughnuts . Am very attached to jam doughnuts right now Grin

graciesmall09 · 13/09/2012 17:09

Sorry you are feeling a bit down topsy waiting is always tough. Will be thinking of you on Monday. Will fling a couple of jam doughnuts your way when my shopping arrives or I could share my latest sweetie purchase of cola cubes and chocolate eclairs.

NedSchneebly · 13/09/2012 17:10

Sorry you're feeling mopey, lovey. Got everything - eyes, fngers, toes, legs -crossed for Monday x x

MAS got everything crossed for you as well for tomorrow - I guess easier to get to grips with once you're clear about what's what and you have a plan in place. What time is your appt?

Waves to shakey, sparkle, kurri, smee, gig, gracie and anyone else lurking.

Thinking of you pink if you're lurking too x x x x

Gigondas · 13/09/2012 17:37

[facepalms] forgot you were getting results - I was v mopey full on funeral planning, reading grimmest daily fail type cancer horror stories, doom mongering, superstitious last weekend so hand holding.

Let me offer you this tom and even this to help [[

demis]]. But most of all this cannot fail to stop you moping [[ will this be played at Amber's party]]

MaryAnnSingleton · 13/09/2012 17:39

hugs for dear topsy and will be thinking of you and sending good vibes on Monday too...
When I had the first scan I was asked when my last period was and whether there was any chance I might be preg. (hhhaaaahaaaa!)

topsyturner · 13/09/2012 17:49

Thanks for all the doughnuts good luck vibes .
Gigs the last 2 links won't work for me , and I suspect I really need to see them !!!

SparkleRainbow · 13/09/2012 17:51

Understandable that you feel mopey Topsy.

MAS - Sorry you have had to go twice for CT scans but I guess it is unavoidable. Glad is all right, even if school makes him cross. Is dh going with you tomorrow?

Just sent dc outside to pick raspberries for their fruit after dinner. Forgot to tell you all, we are getting piglets very soon, [fingers in ears, hands over eyes now for all vegetarians or those not comfortable with a smallholders lot] to "grow" for pork and sausages. Our chick hatching was very disappointing this year, just one chick out of a dozen, but it is doing well and chirping away. Need a new cockerel so hope it is one in the breed I want...too soon to tell, as just small black and fluffy at the moment. That is all from the sparkle smallholding.

SparkleRainbow · 13/09/2012 17:52

Have put handfuls of fresh raspberries on the fbs trolley, they are lovely and sweet, excellent with icecream....and very healthy.

smee · 13/09/2012 17:59

Mmm, raspberries ta Sparkles. Would scoff the lot, but think others need them more than me today.

Topsy, Monday's a cruel day to get results. What are you doing over weekend? Will you need distractions?

Am boogying to Amber's party music. Thanks Gig. Smile Did you get your cup of tea?
