yes, will be thinking of you gracie
Hope weather stays nice for your trip greylady and that all is ok tomorrow smee with ds about to distract.
Ds just had a long day I think- lots of rehearsing etc Concert is tomorrow evening-so a bit of a rush to fit tea in between piano and getting there.
Am feeling a bit depressed, sorry to moan on - think I've just allowed myself to slip. Am really hoping bcn will ring me-I hate to pester her-chances are she's not in until mid week. I can't get to grips with work either- perhaps because it's dh's project and is quite tricky.

smee · 27/03/2012 22:36

MAS, you know we're all here for you too. I wish we'd been able to meet at the Hockney really. I'd have been v.shy, but would love to see you properly sometime. You take care tonight with those dreams x

MaryAnnSingleton · 27/03/2012 22:40

oh bless you smee - it would have been lovely to meet you too- I'd've been very shy as well - maybe we could meet up for another exhibition orjustgotoFortnum'sfortea

Evening all, - you've probably all gone to bed by now, I went out to an evening art thing I go to (talks and demonstrations by different local artists mainly) - it was very interesting tonight, a pastel artist, I got lots of tips.

You've all been posting like mad things, so it'll take me a little while to read through, - but wanted to say love and good luck to Gracie for tomorrow - we'll be thinking of you. xx

Sparkle - well done on losing 6lbs, great going, - I am Envy

1in8 - poor old DS, I hope the school can help sort things out for him, so horrid and upsetting when they are miserable. But at least now he's started to talk about it, which is a good sign.

MAS - try not to let things get on top of you sweetie, I hope BCN rings you soon so you can have a good chat with her (and you are not 'pestering' her - , she won't see it like that at all Smile)

Anyone with any kind of hat/cape/moustache/bizarre costume can join the raid (Only people on this thread obviously, we don't want it to be a complete free for all Grin) I am loving the idea of royal family masks Gracie - have they got a Prince Philip, or even better a Princess Michael of Kent? she's totally bonkersGrin

Off to bed now, but sending love to all, I'm out all day for the next couple of days so if anyone has treatment or appointments coming up, and I miss saying so, sending my love and good thoughts now Smile xx

MaryAnnSingleton · 28/03/2012 07:40

good morning- no horrid dreams, just a bizarre one about being pregnant and also dropping a baby on the floor (not sure if it was mine)...thanks for kind words kk- I just think that I should be over this by now.
Art thing sounds v interesting kk - lalaa's dd has pastels and does lovely things with them.Ds has some too. One of my tutor's at art school is a member of the Pastel Society !
sparkle forgot to congratulate you on impressive weight loss- well done !

OP posts:
Gigondas · 28/03/2012 08:16

Glad you had a better night mas. I don't know If you do get over these things- just maybe the incidents become less frequent and there is a horrid familiarity to them.

Waiting in hospital as op will be late morning. May have to stay in tonight but hoping to avoid that. Same lovely team doing it- as I said they seemed remarkably unphased about this as a se and sorting it. Shame weren't here last week when I felt poorly and stressed.

How is everyone else today? Kurri how are The raid plans going?Grin

MaryAnnSingleton · 28/03/2012 08:41

thinking of you gig xxx

OP posts:
Gigondas · 28/03/2012 09:02

Thanks- just bored now. 1in8 how was ds today?

topsyturner · 28/03/2012 09:05

Good luck to you Gig , hope it all goes smoothly . Did nanny come in today ?

gracie good luck with your appointment today . Let us know what is said .

Thinking about our raiding party . Might bring pig/dog . If we are caught he could cause a distraction whilst we crash through leg it back over the fence Grin

According to the weather man , we are to expect record breaking temps over here today ! (don't get all excited , for NI that just means double figures Grin )

What ever you are doing today , make it a good one . And let's be careful out there people ... (best Hill Street Blues voice)

Ps ... Can we have a few positive thoughts today ? My friend with MS has an important hospital appointment and could do with some good news .

Gigondas · 28/03/2012 09:07

GrinGrin At hill street blues voice. I think pig dog should definitely come- I am sure if he could Andy mcnab would have had him on his missions.

Sending positive vibes for your friend.

Gigondas · 28/03/2012 09:08

And nanny did come in. As I have said before she is generally great (if chatty!) but this ongoing issue giving us concerns on reliability /cover. Dh is going to have a word .

thegreylady · 28/03/2012 09:54

MAS I do hope your bcn has got back to you. You do so much for all of us I don't like to think of you being worried. My bcn has retired now and it does feel as though I have lost a safety net it was good to have a number to call.

Sometimesiwonder · 28/03/2012 10:12

Today my candle is already lit, and it is for Gracie, and Gig, and MAS, although anyone else who needs a bit of support is welcome to a bit of its light too. MA, if the BCN doesn't call back, try again, it is what she is there for it is not pestering. x

To add to my fluorescent hat and furry cat mask on a stick I have fluffy blue ears - can I wear them if i promise to keep the optional flashing lights switched off, in the interests of not looking conspicuous, of course Wink

AutumnSummers · 28/03/2012 10:13

Stopping send to share some good thoiughts to all of you. May tiday be better than yesterday but not as good as tomorrow. I know I'm in and out of this thread. Just pains me to think of this stuff, y'know?

Gigondas · 28/03/2012 10:13

Sometimes I have to ask, why do you have flashing cats ears?

Still waiting here ...

Gigondas · 28/03/2012 10:14

That's ok autumn- hope you have a nice day in the sun with your dc.

Sometimesiwonder · 28/03/2012 10:51

Gig - the flashing cat ears are really dd's, not mine. They were given to her as a birthday gift by her swimming teacher and the staff at the health club place we go to - they do spoil her a bit, I think it is because she is so chatty Grin

Waves to Autumn, and to everyone else. x

Have decided to be very, very prudent and buy my seven year old contract hire car instead of buying a shiny new one. Just for the next few months to see how life pans out. I very much like shiny new cars, but only when I don't have to hand over my own cash for them [tightwad]. But as it now belongs to me, I am going to get it tidied up and in tip top shape again.

Sigh.

MaryAnnSingleton · 28/03/2012 11:02

your time for shiny new car will come sometimes !! I lust after a shiny Fiat 500 but I couldn't part with dear Charles (and importantly can't afford it Grin)
Waves to autumn
I will wait a bit longer before ringing,am never sure what days she's in- plus if things are busy..
Am off to dust and clean shortly. Ds has another cold so his singing might be a bit bunged.

OP posts:
Sometimesiwonder · 28/03/2012 11:14

There are a number of those shiny Fiats round our way, they are very eyecatching. Even modest cars are toe curlingly expensive - I think it may be best to just get a basic one and then run it until the wheels drop off. And in truth I do rather love dear old Harry the Honda. He is a complete star and, being bright metallic yellow, he's hard to lose in a car park Grin

Don't do too much dusting....

MaryAnnSingleton · 28/03/2012 11:20

am hoping to keep Charles going until ds can learn to drive !
I get ridiculously attached to cars - sad really.

OP posts:
Sometimesiwonder · 28/03/2012 11:32

Me too - hence him having a name. I think dd would have cried if I had parted with him, and I might have, too.

Going to treat him to a new CD player as it is nearly our anniversary and I have just renewed my vows to him Grin

smee · 28/03/2012 11:41

MAS, have never been to Fortnums for tea. D'you think they'd let us in in our stripes?! Grin

Sometimes, shiny new car will wait. You are v.grown up having a car at all.. We have one, but I take so little notice I often forget we have one at all. DS uses it for work and that's about it.

Think the flashing ears and Pig Dog make the posse just about perfect.

Gig, are you still there? Hope I haven't missed you. I somehow missed that they were actually doing the drain thing today. Thought it was just a consult. Huge (gentle!) hugs from me. Am thinking of you. Smile

Gracie, bet you're nearly ready to go to your appt. Hope you're okay-ish and not too nervous.

Sometimesiwonder · 28/03/2012 12:07

Don't think I have ever been called grown-up before

Am hoping it is your DH who uses the car though, Smee - doubt ds could reach the pedals safely yet Grin

Quick hugs from me too for Gracie and Gig before you head out the door. Deep breaths: thinking of you both.
