Spacecadet has asked me to get everyone who was concerned about her know, that she was admitted to hospital last night. she is currently in MAU, where she will be for up 48 hours depending on how she responds to treatment. She had another chest x-ray and is on IV antibiotics and also a drip as she was dehydrated.She has asked me to say thankyou to everyone who was concerned about her.

Hi Spacecadet, I've just seen your post and your predicament, and hope to be able to help. I'm a nanny, and I've got the rest of this week off. I'm based in London, but thats not too far from Ely (I used to live near Cambridge so am a bit familiar with the area) and if you need a hand I'd be more than happy to come for a few days and take the kids out and do activities etc and whatever else you need to make sure you stay in bed or on the sofa? Unfortunately I'm only available til sunday, but if you would like a hand please let me know I'm more than happy to help.

LOL Lady Sherlock.... actually I must be a bit sad, having a few days off and nothing better to do than troll MN and find poor ill people to go and help. If it stops me shopping, it must be a good thing. Seriously though, am more than happy to offer my services for a good cause. I don't drive, don't know if thats a problem. But I do cook well, and can keep kids amused for hours with dry pasta, string, paint and empty cereal boxes. Am 27, so fairly mature hahahaha, and know how to look after bubbas and teens after 8yrs experience and being the eldest of 5.
I hope that I can help albeit for a short time.

ive been to the docs for a checkup and he says that im better than i was but i must rest for a at least a week.
dh was furious and said, what am i suppose to do for a week, pillock.

im sat here in tears, dd1 has come home from school and has started an argument with me, i havent got the energy to \argue and now dd2 is crying as well

she wants her bf over and wants him in her room, i said no way, he can come over but not unsupervised in her bedroom, she has just screamed abuse at me and stormed out of the room..sigh..i cant deal with it when i feel like this..i hate my dh, leaving me to look adter kids when im ill..

I know it must be difficult for your DD1, I have a 14yr old sister and Oh Boy Life is HARD at that age (if only they knew) so I am used to strops and emotional outbursts. But seriously if I was there your daughter would be expected to help and be polite and gracious about it. Jeez you're her mum and no matter how upsetting the situation she should think about you if only for long enough every hour to get you a tea or amuse the younger ones. Sorry to rant too, I just feel for you and all your family in this horribly difficult time. Email me back if you got my CAT and we can sort something asap.

Mars on Life I'm in Fulham. My current employers are off in France skiing for a week and as I am not an extreme sports kinda gal I have just been doing nothing really. So am happy to be able to fill my time with something worthwhile.

What happened re the childminder across the road? Did dh contact her?

Do your older children have friends they can stay with for a night or two? Could you speak to the parents?

Hi Spacey you did and I've replied. Sounds like your DD1 would get on perfectly with my lil sis!!!! Maybe they should be penpals and complain about how pants their lives are to each other? Bless.
