...here we go again

I would collect the paper and the Macdonald wrappers and take them to her tonight when she parks, and hand them over saying "You dropped something". My mum did this once with a bag full of dog poo, after having followed the selfish dog owner home with their dog's waste when he let it go on her front lawn!! Then again my mum is quite a formidable force!

smee · 02/12/2011 10:56

Ooh Sparkle's brave. I would put MacDonalds wrappers under her windscreen with a note saying : "please take your rubbish home. Some of us have to live here." Obviously I would hide behind the curtains and switch all the lights off to see her reaction. Grin

Poor DS, Sparkle. Do you think he's worried about the appointment? Could that have triggered his pain. I'm sure it's real. Sad

cakesandale · 02/12/2011 11:01

Oh poor DS. Def take him in his PJs if he is comfier. Who cares what anyone thinks?

Sparkles I am in awe at your Mum. I was thinking very much along Smee's lines. I am small minded enough to let this eat me up, so I will have to do something (while making sure it can't be pinned on me, of course Wink )

MaryAnnSingleton · 02/12/2011 11:08

oh poor junior sparkle -take him in his pyjamas ,I would.
I like smee's idea and the note- some people are quite incredible - selfish as well as stupid. I get very cross about parking- my road is very narrow and really hard to park in (reverse parking as cars on other side so close)and lots of people avoid paying the station car park charge by parking in our road consequently it's even more of a nightmare trying to squeeze into a space - I glare at them fromthesafetyofmyhouse--furiously and mutter.

gah,that strike-out didn't work,serves me right.
Love the budgie chest image Grin My wounds were glued and bits of stuff like cow gum used to peel off alarmingly in the bath.

Eek! Shock

Candle is still going. I'll keep it going all day 'til school run as I'm not sure when the funeral is and it is also a light for everyone else like amber and sparkles who have trials on their hands today.

jchocchip · 02/12/2011 11:37

My candle is in a covered tea light holder so the daft cat doesn't singe his whiskers again.

I've been practicing the music I have to play on Sunday. Very pleased that there is only one difficult piece but that has four sharps, a chorus with three repeats and a coda with four repeats. I know I am going to get lost in the middle :(

jchocchip · 02/12/2011 11:42

On the subject of parking, we have (not quite enough) residents parking. Neighbours have two high cars which block our window if they park in front of our house. I did notice the other day they left 'our' space free and parked at the end of the row opposite, so maybe the Paddington Hard Stares are working. :)

Thank-you ladies for the support yesterday.
Hospital have just rung and i have an appointment on Tuesday at the breast clinic for a mammogram and then to see the consultant.

I will pop in again

Thanks again

cakesandale · 02/12/2011 11:56

I am so relieved to hear that my parking (and litter) obsession is not a lonely one Grin. I have some sticky labels so I could put a note on her window - it wouldn't blow away and would be annoyingly hard to get off

Jane - poor cat, you'd think they would learn Grin

NKetc - I am glad you have an appointment not too far away. Fill the time with rest and treats, not Googling and worrying. We're here whenever you need a chat.

NK346f2849X127d8bca260 · 02/12/2011 12:06

Trying not to worry too much, have calmed down a bit. But i have also got a scan ( the next day )to check on what my doctor thinks is an ovarian cyst, but of course i am worried that it is ovarian cancer ( grandma died from OC).

Need to go into town later, think i will treat myself to a coffee and cake, and maybe a new bra, mine all look a horrible shade of grey!

cakesandale · 02/12/2011 12:11

That's the way forward. Treats definitely.

Next week's tough for you, then. The smart money is still on you being fine or, at very worst, treatable.

You aren't your grandma.

MaryAnnSingleton · 02/12/2011 12:27

cakes is right ! treat yourself, don't google and do stick around on here for hand holding. I wore my nicest bra for my check up this week,it made me feel a tiny bit less scruffy.
jane have I missed something- you are playing something on Sunday ? piano ?
Have just turned a door to door person away (learning difficulties selling stuff) feel guilty, but they are always things I don't need and bloody expensive tat. Still feel bad though. perhaps I should have just given him some money ?
