Cake and wine are two of my favourite things, so I am sure I will fit in well here.
I first noticed my lump about two months ago but was't really sure if it was a lump, as opposed to hormonal changes. So I have observed and poked it for two months now, and last night invited DH to have a feel too, and he could feel it.
My GP found it right away this morning and describes it as the size of a damson posh GP.
She tells me it does not feel attached to anything, skin or deep tissue, And has smooth edges, both of which are more commonplace in healthy lumps. I have no issues elsewhere in breasts or armpits. Given I am over 35 - 44 actually - the health board policy is a referral to the cancer treatment team.
So, there you have it, most likely a harmless lump. Is it wrong to be relieved that DH and GP could feel it too? I was scared they would think I was imaging things.
About six years I thought i cd feel a lump, got referred and consultant just had a wee feel and said all normal, which was great. This is in a different spot, and is more lumpy.
What might I expect by way of checks this time around?
