I feel such a mumsnet rebel,BTW I did pick up my litter!

smee · 30/11/2011 21:19

Boxing Day?! Shock Wonder if they'll shift it back a few days or something. Your son sounds lovely, but I'd can more than see why you'd prefer a more typical teenage lump.

Drift, I didn't see what RA said. Can't imagine her going's down to you though. Now if it had been Topsy, that would have been a whole other story... Wink

Topsy, I have to go back and see the Neurosurgeon in six months, but he's told me so long as I build things slowly I can do whatever I want now. Grin

seventimesseven · 30/11/2011 21:25

Yay, and seven times yay! I was told today that all lumps have been thoroughly poked and probed and found to be benign. Such a relief!

Heartfelt thanks to you wonderful folk for keeping me company over the last week or so. many Thanks from me!

Driftwood999 · 30/11/2011 21:27

Hi ILGC - you sound good, it is lovely when the older dcs make an effort.

Topsy! pmsl at that. I is sweet, actually I have given up anti perspirants, but I will share that another time.

topsytinselturner · 30/11/2011 21:32

How very dare you smee Grin

7x7 fantastic news , I am so happy for you . That's got to be worth a bottle glass or 2 tonight ?

Driftwood999 · 30/11/2011 21:44

Hi Smee, the Beast Sewing Machine (deserving of capital letters) has a computerised screen, telling which presser foot, tension etc to use when you select a numbered stitch. Tells you off if you do it wrong. In 8 languages! over 100 different stitches, monograms, heirloom & satin stitch, 11 of which are button holes which I have never used before Rekindling an interest, which I hope to grow with.

Ilovegeorgeclooney · 30/11/2011 21:50

Topsy what makes me sad is that last year he was the original teenage brat but whatever I say he feels guilty for not being perfect before his Dad died. Strangely the day it happened he went with his dad and dd1 to watch Pompey play Leeds and when they got back DH was saying what a wonderful day he had had. Indeed his last words were "it was never a free kick", however much I try to comfort them they still had 'the best dad in the world' it is hideous that they have lost him

Driftwood999 · 30/11/2011 21:51

7x7 - that is great, see, that can be the outcome Smile What a huge relief, what an experience, take care.

MaryAnnSingleton · 30/11/2011 21:59

aw bless your boy ILGC Smile

Ooh must have x-posted. Yay indeed seven !!! How fantastic. Hope you're celebrating. Smile

ILGC, so sad about your DH for all of you. I didn't realise it had been so sudden. Makes it harder to grieve I'm sure. Sad

Drift, I'd bet you'll master the Beast soon. I have an ancient Singer hand machine. I love it as it was my Great Aunt's, but it's kranky beyond reason and every time I use it, I covet a new one.

DigOfTheChristmasTreeStump · 30/11/2011 22:05

Well done Seven, that is great

Hope no-one else is awake at this hour but thanks for the good wishes. 7x7 fantastic news!!! - now that does cheer me up for the trauma of the day. ds1 wants me to bring the lump home so he can have a look at it!!!

jchocchip · 01/12/2011 06:32

' Morning All! I take the tamoxifen last thing at night which might explain how hot I was at 5am...

1in8 All the best for today, I hope you managed to get back to sleep. :) at ds1 wanting to look at the lump! I think pathology have first call...

Brilliant news 7x7 I hope you celebrated :)

Drift I have two berninas (ancient) The one with six stiches made a funny crackly noise when I last turned it on so I think it needs either a new presser foot or a motor. (Though I have had a few years use out of it which is not bad for ebay!) I'm back to using the one that only does straight or zig zag, but that is enough for patchwork - miss the running zig zag which I used for stretch fabrics.

jchocchip · 01/12/2011 06:37

cat good luck with the rads department. I got away with not providing my own compasses and I expect you will too. How many sessions they have planned?

jchocchip · 01/12/2011 06:39

hugs for ilgc

MaryAnnSingleton · 01/12/2011 07:50

1in8 thinking of you today xxxx
lots of luck too cat for first rads - hope everything runs to time and you don't need a geometry set

Bless my ds- he was very excited today to open the first door of his advent calendar, nice to think that a 14 year old is still a little boy inside (and not a chocolate one either) Smile

Hi i will introduce myself later, but for now can i ask a quick question?

Went to GP late friday and she said she would fax over request to see me at Breast clinic. She said they would ring me with an appointment ( But on hospital site it has a copy of letter they send you, so thinking she might be wrong on that) any postman has just been and no letter.
What should i do? getting in a bit of a state as dh's aunt has just been diagnosed with BC that is in her nodes as well.
Thanks

NK346f2849X127d8bca260 · 01/12/2011 11:58

Hope you understand that !

topsytinselturner · 01/12/2011 12:18

Hi NK . Phone your GP and get them to clarify the situation . But I think even if she faxed the letter over late Friday , the hospital is probably only processing it today .
Check with her that it has been sent , and ask her who she sent it to .
If it has been sent , then you can phone the hospital - the specific persons secretary - and see what is going on .

Hope this helps .

cakesandale · 01/12/2011 12:31

Hi NK - what Topsy said. Hope you are OK.

Seven - terrific news, I am so very pleased. Take care.

Smee - I am glad your back is doing so well. I am awaiting my surgery appointment, must check on progress with that. I am definitely going for it.

Thinknig of KK for her dad's funeral, 1in8 for her appointment and Cat for hers. Also ILGC for a DH-less Christmas Sad and everyone else just because.

jchocchip · 01/12/2011 12:33

Hi NK It's normal to worry and therefore the earlier you can get your referal the better. In the uk my gp told me I would be seen within 2 weeks, although there was a mix up and I ended up ringing the clinic two weeks later. They had been trying to get hold of me by phone, knew who I was and fixed me an appointment at the next clinic. As long as the referal has got there, no harm in ringing the clinic as I'm sure other people do, it can't just be me being so anxious, can it?

jchocchip · 01/12/2011 12:42

NK btw sorry to hear of your dh's aunt's dx. Has she started treatment? There is lots they can do these days.

MaryAnnSingleton · 01/12/2011 13:26

welcome NK hope you get things sorted with the appointment- very sorry to hear about your aunt.
Is it kk's dad's funeral today or tomorrow ? in any case am thinking of her.
