have a few health threads going, it's been a long 2 weeks, I miss my kids so much it physically hurts :-(
The results from my lung biopsy come back tidal and with it a final diagnosis.
The front runner is neurosarcoidosis but the big c is yet to be ruled out.
So scared just want to press fast forward and get on with what ever it is. :-(

LargeGlassofRed · 24/10/2011 07:20

Thanks Essex had a lovely weekend, vertigo definatly improved too! Still wobbly but don't feel like I'm falling with every step.
Even made it to tesco yesterday with the help of a mobility scooter, the twins loved it! Managed to get dd2's cards and presents.
Came back to hospital last night, was horrid coming back, waiting is harder in here as time goes so slow!

magso · 24/10/2011 09:03

Good you had above weekend at home and even better that your vertigo is improved. Hope the improvement continues.

LargeGlassofRed · 24/10/2011 16:00

They re letting me out!!! Yippee
Still haven't had the results but the consultant thinks most likely neurosarcoidosis.
Can't wait to get home for good!

RichTeaAreCrap · 24/10/2011 16:33

Brilliant, so glad they are letting you go home. You must be so pleased especially after going back in last night. I bet you are over the moon.

Hope they get the results sorted too and in the meantime enjoy being back home and rest as much as you can.

magso · 24/10/2011 19:11

Oh thats good!
Take life very easy ( not easy with children to care for I know). I hope you continue to improve.

LargeGlassofRed · 03/11/2011 06:39

Hi all thought I'd better come back and update, I had my big meeting in Tuesday with respiratory consultant. Went with a whole list of questions and took my mum for support.
Still feeling as I'll and balance and dizziness poor.
So I get in to his office, he said
'I need to go a review your biopsy results largeglass'
Comes back in the room and says,
'I know you be just got out of hospital, but you need to be readmitted, also I'm sending you to Bristol to have a look inside your chest'

I just sat their gob smacked
My mum asked if it was another broncosopy and he said no an operation under general, I'd go by ambulance.

He then looked at his scene and said no beds today, but you'll get a phone call in the next few days to be admitted,

So I didn't ask anything, dint know what any of my results were. Left in limbo land again :-(

To top it off mother inlaw being a cow. But thats a whole other thread. :(

Hey, LargeGlass - so sorry to hear you're so poorly. You've really been through the mill. I know you don't want to go to hospital again but here's hoping you get your op soon so that you can finally get a diagnosis and move forward with treatment. SAx

ThatsYouThatIs · 03/11/2011 07:05

Only just seen this thread LGOR, so sorry you're having to go back in.

Can you speak to the consultant or your GP and get them to explain to you why you need the operation? I'm sure it must be very common for people to not ask questions until later.

GuyFawkesHadaPoint · 03/11/2011 07:05

Oh you poor love. Wishing you all the best xx

Ben10WasTheSpawnNowWeLoveLego · 03/11/2011 07:25

Hi Large Glass,

I know exactly how you are feeling. 5 weeks today after having been out from hospital 1 week and having had one op 2 weeks before I got a call saying exactly the same as you saying that they needed to urgently operate on my lung under GA.

I had to go to London (I shoudl have gone by ambulance on reflection so listen to them). They went in with a camera and only 3 small incisions. They really can do wonderful work on a minimally invasive way these days.

I hope that you get admitted soon so that you can get some answers and start feeling better. I had my 2nd surgery on 30th September and am so so much better than I was before. Take care xx

WorkingItOutAsIGo · 03/11/2011 07:31

Sending you best wishes: it's so typical isnt it that you have a meeting with a doctor, he tells you something that sounds like bad news and then all your questions fly out of the window. But if you are still feeling ill then you know you need something to make you feel better, so hopefully that is what will happen now. But I know this must be really hard and am sending you big hugs x.

RichTeaAreCrap · 03/11/2011 09:16

Just seen this LargeGlass. So sorry that you have to go back in, you must be so fed up of it now.

I understand how you didn't get the info you wanted and didn't ask the questions you needed to - it was probably such a shock to be told you are going back in. Maybe your GP will have more info, could you ring and ask them, or ring the consultant?

At least they are taking you in and working to help make you feel better - I really hope that whatever they do it helps and hope you make a quick recovery.

magso · 03/11/2011 09:45

Oh largeglass!
You've been hanging on for ages for results and they still haven't got what they need! I do hope that this time they will find out what is wrong and how best to get you well again! At least you will be asleep this time. Will you just go to the other hospital for the op and be returned the same day to your local one? I think it is usual to keep you in for a couple of nights after a chest scope thingy ( forgotten the name).

LargeGlassofRed · 03/11/2011 10:22

Thanks all I'm not back in yet, sat here waiting for call with bag packed, thought sod it I'll call secretary and ask what's happening.
She said 'I'm booked to come in next Thursday! Fir antibiotic treatment! Which makes absolutely no sense!
Grrrr so fed up :( :(

You poor thing, at least things are happening (again), I presume the ABX are precautionary prior to surgery. A friend had to start some the day before she had dental work done.
Fingers crossed for a positive outcome to your troubles.

LargeGlassofRed · 03/11/2011 12:38

Thanks another update, I rang secretary back and said I was worried about waiting another week as feel awful and consultant had said I'd be in, in the next few days.
She said they did want me in but had no beds and if feeling worse should be in hospital, she said her hands tied as no beds but to ring gp and get admitted through a and e.

So now waiting for gp to call!

OP posts:
LargeGlassofRed · 03/11/2011 13:49

Spoke to gp he wants me to go to the surgery at 5 for an appointment with him, he only joined surgery last week and know nothing about my case!

OP posts:
ripstheirthroatoutliveupstairs · 03/11/2011 15:34

At least your GP is bothered enough to find out about you. Mine is, I presume, very busy. The blood donation people made a request for a piece of information from him about six weeks ago. He's been too busy to look. It would literally take 15 seconds.
Hope it all goes well.
