OP posts:
charliecat · 13/11/2005 23:09

LOL...how ancient? Bet that was a shock to be pregnant then x 100000000000

charliecat · 13/11/2005 23:11

My lovely little dd2 who is now nearing 5 bypassed the terrible 2s and the troublesome 3s but the last week she has wwhhhiiinnnggggeeeeeddddddddd something chronic...so dont get too high on that horse of yours

swings · 13/11/2005 23:14

Shall we say late mid-30s?

Dd's far from perfect. She's bossy, inflexible, a total egomaniac too but they're normal 3-year-old traits aren't they? Her biggest problem is hysterical crying over really small things. This evening, for instance, sitting at her table eating her dinner suddenly noticed I'd forgotten to give her a drink of water. Cue: 'I thought I'd got some water .... wwaaaaaaggghhhhhh!' I always try to play it down and encourage her to 'save her tears' for important things. But she still has the weeps a few times a day over absolutely nothing!

swings · 13/11/2005 23:15

Oh yes, a total shock to be pregnant! It came at a totally inappropriate moment for us as a couple. But we were SO thrilled I can't tell you.

What are your two like, cc?

charliecat · 13/11/2005 23:23

My two? Chalk N Cheese.
At the moment dd1 keep being really shitty to dd2...for example...your gorgeous says me to dd2...10 minutes after saying the same thing to dd1...Shes Not pipes in dd1...NOT impressed.
DD1 is quiet and nice 95% of the time with a heart of gold when it suits her but shes a demon the other 5% of the time, think Keving the Teenager in female form.
DD2 is agreeable and sweet with a heart purely made of gold, who lies and farts and is a right wee monkey

charliecat · 13/11/2005 23:24

Gotta go xxx Chat tommorow xxxxxxxx

swings · 13/11/2005 23:31

Night night, cc ... xxx

charliecat · 14/11/2005 12:50

Back again...anyone about?

mummylonglegs · 14/11/2005 14:44

Hi cc!!

Hey cc, drop, etc. etc. I won't be around much now until after Christmas due to dodgy monitor at home plus I've got quite a lot of work to do from home so will need to focus on that. I'll be popping in and out to nose though. Keep posting. And keep off them fags!!

OP posts:
swings · 14/11/2005 21:52

hey, have any of you fellow quitters seen that new non-smoking advert 'I've got you under my skin'? with the little blood clot travelling round under people's skin? Really creepy. I'd be crushing my fag pack if I'd seen that one when a smoker!

You around tonight cc? Your school thread's still kicking off but you've got a few more people in your corner. I'm your bodyguard over there

charliecat · 14/11/2005 22:29

Argh...wrote a huge message and it didnt blooming come out...wave to every one Wondered where the newbies and drop are and MLL get your self a new monitor or this thread will DIEEEEEEEEEEEEE.
Swings..the other thread is quite barking mad now isnt it?
BUT it did prompt me to remember something...a long long time ago when i was at school in scotland they used to do something called giving you the bumps, which meant that if you were 9 or 10 or 6 or whatever, your friends, and your classmates, the whole frigging school, one by one clenched thier fists and walloped you as many times as you were years. Fuck That quite frankly. I could never work out what the hell it was about other than being f*ing nasty.
Hence my not wanting to go to school and not doing so and double with the fact my dds have the same birthday etc etc etc so it would mean keeping one off and the other at home when dd1 first went off to school I can now see myself why I originally didnt send them. Not that i remembered up until this afternoon though.
So thats the moral to the story IYKWIM lol

charliecat · 14/11/2005 22:31

Oeerr and I havent saw the new advert but I did have a little sob to myslef earlier about how far I have come...i was bouncing off the walls this time last year desperate to stop smoking but smoking still anyway. LOOK AT ME NOW
Got it under control.

woooooooooooooohooooooooooooooo

swings · 14/11/2005 23:03

You are FANTASTIC cc.

Hey, I won't let the thread die. But where are all the other posters? I hope I haven't scared them off.

People are MAD on that school thread. I know I've already said that but they are bonkers. Have they absolutely no sense of rebellion/ fun / the most important things in life? Women are so bloody rule obsessed sometimes don't you think?

Hey, where online can I get dd a cheap, warm winter coat. Can't find anything.

charliecat · 15/11/2005 08:07

Hmm...dont know. My two are still wearing the ones I got reduced from 25 quid down to 3 and 5 quid in the summer
That was from BHS, always warm and hardwearing.
Vetabauet or whatever its called does nice thick trousers and is cheap...dunno about its coats though.

dropinthe · 15/11/2005 08:35

YO!

Lost the school thread-whats going on? Was that the one you started about keeping dd's off school for Birthdays? Are people saying its wrong? Tell them to piss off CC-school is so bloody overated anyway-Birthdays are far more important!

swings · 15/11/2005 13:29

drop, you should go on that damned thread and say that then, poor cc's taken such a bashing!

Cc, dd's been in her 1-18 month winter coat for 3 years, it was a Next duffle coat, gorgeous, and has washed and been brilliant but this year she's finally outgrown it.

swings · 15/11/2005 13:30

Oops, sorry drop, I see you already did!

weesaidie · 15/11/2005 14:15

Hello angels

I gave up smoking last week so I thought I'd pop in...

Rather amused by your thread Charliecat, honestly cannot understand what the big deal is!

dropinthe · 15/11/2005 14:17

Bloody saints,the lot of them!

dropinthe · 15/11/2005 14:18

Have always agreed with spidermama though! Great attitude to life!

weesaidie · 15/11/2005 14:28

Lol... I posted a couple of times and then just switched of the computer as I couldn't take getting hounded!! Spidermama is so much stronger!

Usually I wouldn't post on threads where I am in the astonished 'is this really a problem??' minority but I was feeling bad for Charliecat and of course had just quit smoking so...

charliecat · 15/11/2005 14:40

Yeah my own little support group over here
hello weesadie, are you here for good? We are a friendly bunch how you doing , how long you been smoking etc?

weesaidie · 15/11/2005 14:47

Well I gave up while pregnant, before that probably on 10-20 a day for a few years. Then after I had dd I started again (when she was about 4 months) and so have been smoking again for over a year now, again about 10 - 20 a day.

It really is between 10-20 btw, during 'good' phases I would have as little as 5 but usually nearer 10 and then in 'bad phases I would be at nearly 20!!

Anyway, decided I had had enough of all these 'phases' and was also broke so thought it would be a good time to give up. Only been 8 days so far but feel okay... went to a party on Saturday and managed to abstain so pleased with that!

charliecat · 15/11/2005 14:51

Very good
I have nearly a year behind me now...ho ho ho feel like santa saying that...surely cant be true...BUT IT IS!!!!!!!!!
Good that youve been partying and have managed not to fall into the oh just one for tonight trap

weesaidie · 15/11/2005 14:54

Yup, thought it would be a nightmare but I think once I had a few cocktails I managed to forget about it!

Well done you though!
