charliecat · 27/09/2005 18:14

How busy is MN? I had to search to find this thread on the health section.
I had a driving lesson today. I was really crap.
It was my 3rd one..the first 2 I had I was ok because I was emotionally numb from dd2 starting school. I am back to normal now and I was crap.

Dropinthe · 28/09/2005 11:32

CC-Add it on your watch list then you will find it easily or it will always be on "Threads I'm on" coz you're always bloody on it!!

MLL-I have come down with a rotten cold and sore throat so don't think I can make Thursday-will re-schedule for next week if thats ok?

mummylonglegs · 28/09/2005 14:45

Yeah, no probs, drop. I've got a bit of a crappy chest too. I'm glad I'm not smoking! You know when you're coughing up that kind of bright brown stuff? Should I see a doctor?

No, still haven't decided what to do with dd's playgroup scenario. Ideally I'd like her to stay put until Christmas and finish her little projects etc. and then move to the new place in January, but that might not be possible... we'll see ...

How's everyone else? And where are our part-time members like em? and wm?

mummylonglegs · 28/09/2005 22:24

That's so fantastic, leader! I'm back to scratch really speaking, but it's been almost 5 months since I started my serious quit attempt. So what's up with your pc, cc?

It's gone quiet around here again a bit hasn't it?

OP posts:
charliecat · 28/09/2005 22:28

It has indeed gone quiet, they are all sharing a virtual ashtray i bet Drop I think is ill, saw on another thread...sending her a ((((hug))) to get better, must be bad if she cant mumsnet
You know something, I have just realised that smoking/a fag/ my addiciton is NOT the first thing on my mind in the morning and any thoughts about smoking last 2-3 seconds..............YEHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Oh and those 2-3 second thoughts are 3 x a day IF THAT. And they are not intense they are vague memories.

charliecat · 28/09/2005 22:30

Cant belive drop wrote that today, seems like at leasst 2 days ago
Right you drivers tell me your learning storys, good and bad.

Dropinthe · 28/09/2005 23:15

MLL-Got better as the day went on and just got back from work-still ok for tommorrow if you fancy meeting up in Greenwich as have to get the boys out SOMEWHERE every day now or both them and I go bananas! Up for it? I can't find your telephone number anywhere-don't worry if you don't get this message tonight-just either ring me in the morning or post here!

Flum · 28/09/2005 23:19

Hello all. Doing well.

I'm day 3. Its been a doddle. Again!!

Dreadful smoke addict, get up first thing in morning for one even before coffee.

Read Alan Carrs book again. Amazing, it really does make you feel so relaxed about the whole thing.

Went to one of his clinics last time. Brilliant. No withdrawal pangs or cravings or anything. Mind you can't be that magical as I started again five months later. That was the puff tricking me though. Dop.

Dropinthe · 29/09/2005 08:29

Thats how I started again after giving up the last time! Very insidious1

Mummylonglegs-its a beautiful day-get your arse out of bed and meet me!!!!!

fionagib · 29/09/2005 10:10

Hi folks, just a quickie drop-in as have gotta get some work done... still fag free and dh is almost 3 weeks off cigs too, am so pleased for him, he's not been too narky either!

Am thinking of weaning myself off the lozzies now... gulp.

charliecat · 29/09/2005 11:12

I heard that gulp FG Remeber when we began all this we would type instead of smoke? Well stock up on some extra strong mints and get it doen! Well Done for your DH, my dp was outside looking for dry dogends last night with his phone light on as a torch, couldnt help but laugh as seeing the addcition in full light is rather amusing!
Back in a mo, im havign a curry for breaky and its ready now...

mummylonglegs · 29/09/2005 11:37

Curry for breakfast???

Drop, what a bugger, I never get a chance to come on here in the mornings. I'd have loved to still meet you if I'd have known. I don't think I can make it now though, gotta pick up dd from playgroup in 30 mins, have some lunch, and I promised her instead we'd finally get her some new shoes as she's been in the same ones way too long

AGH! Next time ...

FG, that's brilliant. I think you should fight the lozzies. Is your dp lozzie-free? Can you cut them down? How many are you 'on'? And what do they do? I never fancied them myself.

I'm on day 3 really too. It's a much easier day 3 than when I began quitting of course, cravings are low.
