Welcome to the LIGHTer threads. We are a part time healthy eating thread and on ocassion, we are the WHETE (Worst Healthy Eating Thread Ever)!!

Hopefully, we'll get back on track in the New Year but for now, most of us are trying not to put any more weight on.

I've managed to put over half a stone on in 5 weeks! Argh!

called the docs and prescription has been written (there was some doubt whether she'd do it without seeing me and i had a stand off with an arsey receptionist). relief.

served ds's lunch ages ago and told him it was there. carried on doing stuff round house. we come to leave the house for nursery and he says, i'm hungry can i have something to eat?

now he's sitting eating his gone-cold lunch at the table

yay to finding of bitter bear! any yay to satan sorting her drugs out! and yay to mole having a good night. now we just need double to feel up to smoking again to restore equilibrium.

do hope nemo is OK and you don't end up in A &E with him Mousey.

So far, managed a ham sandwich but I'm still hungry. Eating 2 choc digestives. Make that 1, I've been good and put one back.

Nemo is worse so waiting on a call from his CCN. Have done the steam and Karvol thing in the bathroom, will take him with me to the docs tomorrow and he has his heart appt at half one.

He also seems to have an upset tummy.

Physio has taped my back up. And wants me to try acupuncture and cortazone (SP?) injections for the pain.

Sorry to keep moaning on and fucking on, I'm bored of myself now.

Mouse, you are freaking me out. Today I have eaten a ham sandwich, went to have 2 chocolate digestives then thought better and put one back.

Are you having pasta for dinner? We are having salmon and broccoli pasta.

i've been really hungry for me too. i'm wondering if it's post bug hunger or something.

feel a bit healthier today. lame as this sounds as an example i am sitting in a chair rather than flat out on the sofa feeling like getting up is a mission i've also managed to get a few jobs done.

It was what we were meant to be having tomorrow.

I have done the DC's bedrooms and had a good clear out in the search for Bear. Silver lining and all that.

Dust for dinner - aka hoops and toast - was going to have pasta and then realised I haven't got anything in to make the sauce!

i want to come but gut instinct says i've been feeling utterly shite and have to have an active day on saturday and need to do doctors mission tomorrow. it's pathetic but i reckon that's the limit on the energy i have at the minute

have to do some clothes/boots shopping before going away next thursday and want to have sis and kids over for dinner one evening before i go and will need to wash and sort and pack clothes.

for some reason that sounds like a mission and a half!

S'ok Brian. No date yet. He's OK. Really screwed up about his Dad though. He started remembering things that a child shouldn't have in his memory bank. They are doing Domestic Abuse in PGCE (?) at school and he has wept.
He loves and hates him, confusing feelings for a 12 yr old.
I cancelled Kboxing the other night because I didn't feel right leaving them together. Exes ways are quite insidious sometimes but DS isn't stupid.

I had crap today, I am mid cycle but feel pre menstrual. Bloated and tender.

I'll give you the recipe for when your sister comes round if you want, it's a simple bung in the oven affair, but involves a lot of marscapone, so it's not very healthy.

can we please bar the use of the words "pathetic" and "moaning" on this thread. a problem/illness is a problem/illness. gavel.

brian - so DD has learnt from the best about milking illness

mittz - tough for you and ds. did school have any sort of provision for those affected by the lesson, it's all v. well for them opening the pandora's box but what do you do after that?

mouse re:nemo - honey and lemon in hot water is meant to be as good as cough medicine - I guess that acid food and reflux would not be a good mixture, but maybe honey would help, be a bit softer on his throat??
