Trill, I was told DS would be around 6lb and he was 8lb 1oz, and was told DD would be around 7lb and she was 6lb. (It was like shelling peas giving birth to her).

I don't think it's a very exact science.

I think they are fairly certain now. Even i could see that DS is a DS, not shy! I think it is easier to see if it is a boy and get it right though.

My bookcase is beautiful. Victorian, with slightly wibbly looking glass in the doors. I now have to decide very carefully which books are worthy going into it
