Glass gets wibbly cos it isnt solid super-cooled liquid? or something like that so that it eventually gets thicker at the bottom and thinner at the top.

heirlooms are a funny old thing. I got an heirloom from a great aunt. It was her favourite cookery book. I love it. other people might not have been so impressed.

Mittz · 21/07/2010 13:27

I was a pea popper ..

Bookcase sounds nice.

My DS is a twit. I came home the other day to find a man helping him carry a door down the road.... 'erm, what's that?' say's I

'It's a door Mum, it's for free, I thought you might want it'

Yes son, we'll add it to the pile of random objects that you have found that might be 'useful'. WTF am I going to do with a door?. He's gutted at the thought I might give it away.
I know, I'll build a shed round it to fill with his booty!

TrillianAstra · 21/07/2010 13:29

Wibblyness of glass - compare water with treacle. Glass is like treacle only much more so. Not super-cooled, just very viscous or something like that.

check all you smarty pants with your theories abtu wobblynesss of glass.

Mittz - that must be annoying but it';s kinda sweet too.
You should offer it on the board. Fluff will turn it into a table and matching chair or something super clever like that.

jetcat · 21/07/2010 13:41

hi I'm jet, lost a bit, got a bit still to go Still

at your DS collecting all kinds of crap lovely items he thinks you may need Mittz Bless him!

Good luck with the ILs mouse - we will be here to listen to you offload

I have finally painted the coving in the kitchen today. Only been here 18 months, and it is still the bare plaster on the ceiling So, as i am trying to declutter again, and use up all the old tins of paint i have lying around, i decided to at least make a start. Just need to actually do the ceiling now - got the extension roller, paint etc but no sleeve for the roller. AM thinking its possibly not a good idea to do it while mini is under feet anyway - so will wait till weekend

Thank you ladies, thought I'd stick with the idea we're a cult, don't want us getting confused with those other threads lol! I've been invited out for a meal on Friday with 2 female friends, very excited as one has just come back off holiday. Not too worried about my diet as we're going to a place I know quite well so know what I can eat off the menu lol

Sorry everyone- I am totally zonked today after no sleep at all. Will just mark my place for now.

Thankyou for supporting my SIL on the relationships thread- she is a lovely woman and having such a terrible time at the moment.

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 21/07/2010 14:17

Hello I'm Crunchy/Uno. Since I joined the thread I have put on 2lbs () but have just weighed myself and have lost 3lbs [happy]

So all in all I've lost 1lb.

That's not so bad. I feel a lot more toned too.

I love wibbly glass. I love that glass flows over time. Where I grew up all the windows had wibbly dimples (well, the ones I didn't break with my clumsiness).

Hey can I rejoin?
My post echoes Alice. I'm hot and fat. Also making a small person so the belly is mostly baby with a bit of soft fat layered over it. (attractive I know)
You'd think with how much puking I've done the last 3 months it would have toned up my tum a bit.

Mouseface · 21/07/2010 14:32

Phew. I'm done in. 4 loads of washing and drying, floors mopped, sick removed, playmat pulled apart and put back together, MrMouse fed and watered, ILs fed and watered, Mouse fed and watered, DS napping, council ripping up pavement outside the house, rotovator here..............................

Thrown MrMouse and ILs out into the jungle with said machinery to plant more hedgerow - reason for their visit/stay - and I am now enjoying a strong, hot coffee whilst catching up.

Wibbly glass? Ooo, I like old looking glass. Like in really old sash windows.

Lunch? What did you all have? Carrot and cucumber sticks, low fat philly and a mini pitta. Yum!!

LollipopViolet · 21/07/2010 14:37

Various dried fruit and fat free yoghurt. Yum. Having jacket potato, cottage cheese and celery tonight

Double - tongues? On a school day? You are spoiling me but I like it.

Hey QOD - how goes it? How many weeks fat are you?

Mittz · 21/07/2010 14:42

Most of the windows in my house are wibbly.. I love it also that glass is 'liquid'. A lot of ours is flawed as well with air blips and stuff. We have dodgy sash windows that could guillotine your fingers if you weren't careful.

Hey BoF lovey.. don't catch up with you much these days.. Hope you are well xx

Mmmm, I have had lots of snogs today.

Shall I leave the spares for anyone who wants them?

Hey QOD, how's it going?

I need to paint my toenails, but they are almost non existent.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 21/07/2010 14:47

x posts double.

QueenofDreams · 21/07/2010 14:52

Hey mouseface and bitter
I'm 18 weeks fat. I keep telling myself I'm going to go do the washing up, but in fact I'm still faffing around on the internet

You guys are making me feel all naughty with your talk of tongues.
May have to ambush DP when he gets home.

Alicetheinvisible · 21/07/2010 14:52

Yes wibbly as in old. Not an heirloom, bought it. Actually worked out quite cheap when comparing to other bookcases that had cupboards and glass doors. Was £325 delivered. Will get a picture once the room is done (got to move stuff back in, get oilcloth for the table etc)
