Hey all!

Crunchy, I can understand you being so upset. I think it's a good idea to let things calm down a little. Maybe roll the situation back to where it was a few months ago and see if you can go from there.

Double, Xs are dickheads.
at you sitting in his t-shirt listening to love songs waiting for BSNN.

Can I be in a Mouse/Bella sandwich? Please???

I've put back all the weight I lost week. I haven't even been that 'bad'.
So I'm going to tell you all what I eat as well as the Lord. Please note, I'm massive, so I get more cals than all you svelte things.

  • muesli + semi-skimmed milk
  • couple of grapes
  • large plate pasta with tomato sauce and grated cheese
  • half a yoghurt
  • orange juice
  • veggie pizza
  • small bowl of ice cream

I'll log with the Lord and see how bad my guesstimate is.

Wasting - You may have put weight back on because a) didn't you get your period? Which means water retention and b) if you are shredding more, the fat is turing into muscle and we all know that is heavier.

TrillianAstra · 19/07/2010 18:51

Hello hello.

Waiting for Tesco man to turn up, have watered all the plants very thoroughly as they were looking rather sad when I got back from work.

Quesadillas for dinner, the avocadoes look soft enough for guacamole, hurrah.

Yes SAF, a bigger body takes more acls just to keep alive (base metabolic rate) so the smaller you are the fewer you need to eat to lose (or maintain) weight.

That's why they say very roughly that the average man needs 2500 a day to maintain and the average woman 2000 - because men are bigger (and also proportionally more muscley, and muscle needs more calories when it is just sitting there). Even if they both had BMIs of 20 (very slim) tiny little Bella and amazonian Gigi would need quite different intakes to maintain the same weight.

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 19/07/2010 18:51

Thanks WA, I think that's a sensible plan

MacTheWife · 19/07/2010 18:59

Trills would the same still stand even if the chappy was on the slimmer side? DH is very, very slender yet the jammy sod can eat what he likes & never gains a lb Mind you, I guess he burns the cals off quicker then I do....

Seems to be working, how was McTwaty at work, still a twat?

jetcat · 19/07/2010 19:06

oh crunchy - hope you are ok

evening to all, tis raining here at the moment thank goodness, its cooling the air down a little. Alice, i really feel for you pregnant in this heat - hope you are ok

I was just thinking about Mittz today, hope she is ok - must have been a good night

And DEM -- where is Dem, or have i missed something?

Been busy painting today, i am a bit fed up of trying to find items to co-ordinate with mini's rather funky wallpaper, so have decided to paint over it Just did a couple of coats of cheap white emulsion we had in the house today - mini was not a great help, and we are off shopping for some paint tomorrow. Pink paint. Everything has to be pink She even wants a pink car

wastingaway · 19/07/2010 19:06

Ooh, lovely snog Mouse! Period started the week before the good weigh-in, so some of the loss was water-weight going.

I was just within my cals, but I've got it set to lose 1 lb a week. I think I'll aim to stick to that for this week and then adjust the cals down to lose slightly quicker.

Quesadillas sound yum Trills.

I've finally got a couple of chillis growing on my plants. I need to work harder at being a good green thumb next year.

TrillianAstra · 19/07/2010 19:10

The man/woman thing is largely down to overall weight and muscle mass, but obviously there are people (men and women alike) who do just burn stuff off without trying.

What are you testing Mac?

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 19/07/2010 19:12

Thanks jet, I'm ok now Gonna give it some time.

On the negative side I've just eaten pizza! Damnit!

NormaSknockers · 19/07/2010 19:12

Sounds like a productive day Jet well done you! Bless Mini wanting everything pink

TrillianAstra · 19/07/2010 19:16

Yay for chillis wasting - we have millions of chilli plants at the moment - might pick one to put in the guacamole.

Evening all. I've only just got in, lots of sickies at work and queues like christmas.

UNO, very sorry to hear of your situation, but given my recent troubles I really don't feel qualified to comment. You definitely have my empathy though.

Homemade chicken soup for dinner. I may freeze the leftovers and chuck them your way Saf - are you a fan of soup?

I'm still in a weird mood. Still not hungry. Still love you all.
