SaF, I've never been very slim, my lowest when I lost weight before was 11 stone. I looked good though. Damn it. But you don't need to eat as much, so you don't miss it.

It's a good motivation for doing exercise though, as the more muscle you build, the more calories you burn every day, even when asleep.

Hi Jet! I love that pink phase they go through.

My cousin woke only pink for a while, then she was a goth for a bit and is now, at 15 mostly neon.
I remember a girl at college (16) who wore pink all the time. If she had jeans on, the pocket would have pink stitching or something. I think she got a job at Disneyland.

Trills, I don't know why, but I planted all the seeds. It doesn't look much on the seed tray, but they all grew and need potting up. They're mostly just on the patio area, strewn about.

In other gardening news, my veg patch appears to be recovering from being the cats playground.

It's difficult when things change and kids are only little isn't it? I know it's not earth-shattering, but next door and their cat have gone and I can see that DS has noticed they've gone, but I can't really explain it to him.

Woo, I'm in a chatty mood!

wastingaway · 19/07/2010 20:49

Oh Double, what a twat. Shouldn't rely on his money? Why the fuck not?!

jetcat · 19/07/2010 20:49

at chatty wasting!

jetcat · 19/07/2010 20:55

oh sorry double, i didnt see your post

Sounds a lot like my ex. Now that he has finally started paying maintenence, he is demanding i give him petrol money for picking up the girls when i am not up to getting the bus with them I just remind him who it was who wanted the contact, and therefore whose responsiblity it is for transport. His reply - its not my fault you dont have a car.

My reply - maybe if you had paid maintenence instead of packing your job in to avoid it, i would have been able to keep my last one He shuts up at that point

He is having them for 4 days next week - i am waiting for the request for money

Sounds like we have very similar ex's

Alicetheinvisible · 19/07/2010 20:58

Trills - DD's vocabulary is expanding scarily quickly atm. She enjoyed copying me saying "FGS, put your bloody shoes on" My plants are looking very poorly too. Any luck house hunting?

Wasting - DH and i were complaining about our garden, but decided this year is house year, next year can be the garden's turn.

Jet - DD thinks her hair is pink. It is kind of light strawberry blonde.

Fanny - if you are about, thank you again for the foot soak, i am sitting with my fat swollen dainty ladylike feet in a bowl atm.

Chicken pie for dinner, made from leftover roast, very yummy. Yes i know it is a bit hot for such food, but getting sick of BBQ and salad, want real food.

jetcat · 19/07/2010 21:04

awww, thats so cute about the pink hair Given half a chance, mini would love to She is so excited about painting her room - has took her two hours to finally fall asleep!

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 19/07/2010 21:04

Alice, Poppy is learning lots of new words atm - her current favourite is 'No'

Sorry for all the twunty x's, makes me

Hiya Wasting and other shineys. TBH I am having difficulty in keeping up with your thread, read about your dilema Crunch and wonder if it is time to ask yourself what next? where do you want your relationship to go? Clearly he has issues from way before you, is he continuing his therapy? I would hope so. i think it rocked you so much because of the betrayal of trust. You will heal.
AANYways.
Mouse re - snogging, i am a very repressed individual and find that the wart, whiskers and hooked nose get in the way, but am not averse to a shoulder rub, hug and the occasional stroke.
Have a good evening everyone. Oh and I have made no headway at all into the half a stone I would like to shed.

Alicetheinvisible · 19/07/2010 21:10

TBH Double, despite needing the money, sounds like you are better off rearing your DD yourself. At least she will grow up into a decent human being having a proper role model.

Oh Double, that's so unfair.

Hey Mini!

DS speech just tickles me at the minute. We always identify car and fence colours etc. as we walk along. Yes very tedious. But today I said 'somebody's silver car' so every one after was 'somebody's green car' or 'somebody's white car' and then 'somebody's blue big van'. It's so cute, but I try not to giggle too much as I don't want to give him a complex.

Ooh, love strawberry blonde! DSs hair is getting darker, but I'm not sure if it's getting ginger-er yet.

bellavita · 19/07/2010 21:14

Blimey, it was hot in the school hall. Lovely play, but went on far too long.

MrB has made me a cuppa and am now in my jimjams.

Hey jet. I have txted with DEM, she is ok .

Am still waiting for a txt back from Mittz.

Grrr for you and your crap builders Mouse.

Vinny, sorry about twatty colleague. Can you give him a swift kick as he walks past?

Talking about kicking..... the boy over the road (horrible nasty boy he is) shoved DS2 into the goal posts at the park on Saturday evening (he is 18 months older than DS2). DS2 came home very upset. I was out hoovering my car yesterday afternoon and this boy was sat on the dip of the pavement where our drive is. DS2 came up at the back of him on his bike and kicked him as he rode past. The evil child got up and turned around and said DS2 has just kicked me. I lied and said "nope you have imagined it" "he didn't touch you". I know, I know... but he sooooo deserved it. He went in at that point .

So, how are we all?

miserable feckers the pair of them, jet and double, they seem to be forgetting it's money for the kids not you

suspect I need to rejig my calorie allowance, as i've not dropped it since getting from 14st 12 down to 12st 4. Am plateauing at the moment, need less crap and more exercise.

wastingaway · 19/07/2010 21:15

I'm chatty Bella . It's really been very hot today.

BitterAndTwistedChoreDodger · 19/07/2010 21:19

Bella, I may have done the same.

Hey Fanny, how's tricks?

wastingaway · 19/07/2010 21:19
