Disgusted if Reform get 13 seats. What’s wrong with people?

Takes a bit of a shine off an exciting night.

Jutemat · 04/07/2024 22:31

Is there a breakdown by constituency anywhere? That these are based on?

Teacherprebaby · 04/07/2024 22:31

Hewlet · 04/07/2024 22:01

Reform’s result is shocking.

I can't .....who are these voters!?

Dreamingofgoldfinchlane · 04/07/2024 22:31

theDudesmummy · 04/07/2024 22:29

Reform at 13 is horriffic. Hopefully not

I'd like to know which constituencies they might be. I thought they'd win a couple of seats at most.

RedToothBrush · 04/07/2024 22:29

See my last post. They've done well. Watch out for the % of the popular vote for them. They may yet be the third party on the popular vote. The LD vote tends to be concerntrated and restricted to particular consitutencies only and doesn't translate as an even spread across the country. UKIP traditionally was spread across the country much more broadly.

Whoever comes third in the popular vote gets guarenteed airtime on public broadcasters, so this really matters.

I agree - I think they may well be the third party in terms of % of the vote. Not good.

I guess we'll find out.

Charlie2121 · 04/07/2024 22:31

If the exit poll is correct it means that Reform has nearly half as many votes as Labour. That is a remarkable number and doesn’t bode well for Labour in the long run.

Hewlet · 04/07/2024 22:29

I’m hull too and had to vote around 9pm after leaving my 13 hr shift, Diana Johnson is my local mp. A lot of my fellow nhs workers were voting reform

Why? What’s wrong with them? Aren’t they pro-NHS?

Reform? No, they want privatisation.

Hewlet · 04/07/2024 22:32

I'd like to know which constituencies they might be. I thought they'd win a couple of seats at most.

Me too.

TattiePants · 04/07/2024 22:33

So relieved and there are happy tears in our house. Labour is always a clear winner in my constituency but I dread to think how many people will have voted Reform here. Not long to find out as we're hoping to retain our record of declaring first.

NeedthatFridayfeeling · 04/07/2024 22:33

Cooper77 · 04/07/2024 22:27

Say goodbye to the English countryside. We’re in for five years of mass immigration and house building on an eye-watering scale. If you like traffic, overcrowding, and rows and rows of tiny houses jammed on top of one another, open the champagne.

This is my fear. I hope so much they leave green belt alone and instead tackle the number of air b n b's/student lets etc that could be used for family homes.
I'm all for building more housing but we shouldn't lose green spaces

Hewlet · 04/07/2024 22:33

Reform? No, they want privatisation.

Thats my point. Is that why NHS workers are voting Reform?

LunaDeBallona · 04/07/2024 22:33

Zanatdy · 04/07/2024 22:22

Happy for a labour win, but disgusted that reform could get so many seats. I don’t get what would make anyone tick that box.

Maybe because they know what a woman is.

Czema · 04/07/2024 22:33

Husband insisting on C4. I’m finding it a little unwieldy.

Will switch to BBC soon

kikisparks · 04/07/2024 22:33

Sad for SNP, upset that Scottish Tory seats seem likely to stay, absolutely horrified that Reform are getting 13 seats in the UK. Only happy note is all the tories likely to lose their seats.

kikisparks · 04/07/2024 22:34

LunaDeBallona · 04/07/2024 22:33

Maybe because they know what a woman is.

Yes they think she’s someone who should be at home with her kids not out at work.

Hewlet · 04/07/2024 22:35

Maybe because they know what a woman is.

Yes, I’m sure all that Andrew Tate nonsense will boost women’s rights.

Charlie2121 · 04/07/2024 22:35

Reform + Conservatives will have more votes than Labour.

2029 will be very interesting.

OneOfThoseOldFashionedWomen · 04/07/2024 22:35

Cornishpasty342 · 04/07/2024 22:30

Keeping everything crossed the SNP results are accurate! Pleased for the Lib Dem’s too.

Interested to know why you feel this? Why dislike SNP but Like LD

EwwSprouts · 04/07/2024 22:35

Mercury2702 · 04/07/2024 22:17

Dis they say why? Do they think Reform is the party of the NHS? I think Diana Johnson is a solid MP (not mine but I'm close enough). I will be horrified if our constituency has become Reform.

GingerPirate · 04/07/2024 22:35

Looking at apartments in Prague at the moment,
to go back to my country asap.
Last Labour government I remember was under G.Brown.
No thanks.

carly2803 · 04/07/2024 22:35

i did not vote labour shockingly!

HungryLittleCrocodile · 04/07/2024 22:36

Jutemat · 04/07/2024 22:24

Why stress about Reform? Still a very small fry. Look at the headlines, its a whitewash!

This. ^ Some people on here are going batshit and loco over 13 seats ... Big deal, some people supported Reform, so what? People are entitled to views that are not left wing and centric. A few people are just utterly aghast and so pearl-clutchy that anyone thinks differently to them!

MrsLeonFarrell · 04/07/2024 22:36

A bit off topic but I'm disappointed Channel 4 have Dorries and Matlis, negate I find them both annoying. Sticking with Nick Robinson.

Raindropsoncanvas · 04/07/2024 22:37

You and me both @carly2803
