exciting!

Kucinghitam · 04/07/2024 22:08

Reform is fucking depressing.

piscofrisco · 04/07/2024 22:08

I feel quite emosh at the exit poll

RedToothBrush · 04/07/2024 22:08

ClawedUkelele · 04/07/2024 22:07

Yeah, if those are the final results then Reform have certainly outperformed expectations.

Funnily enough, as bad as the results look for the Tories (and they are very bad), it's probably towards the "good" end of the pre-election forecasts.

Yes I think its at the better end of predictions. So were putting them at under 100.

Exit polls look promising for Labour.

I cannot believe Reform has potentially got 13 seats, hope not in my constituency!

TheHallmarkedMan · 04/07/2024 22:09

I was reading comments where people were predicting Nigel Farage leading the opposition. 13 seats isn't very impressive, but they probably did for the Tories, by taking a chunk of votes from them.

It's a massive Tory collapse though.

piscofrisco · 04/07/2024 22:09

Also the channel 4 line up is inspired. I think Dorries and Campbell might end up coming to blows. Glorious.

Hewlet · 04/07/2024 22:09

Shocked in a “how on earth did that many people vote for them?!” way.

This.

Hull? Can’t see Diana Johnson losing her seat.

Me too.

RedToothBrush · 04/07/2024 22:11

A lot of Labours gains are Scotland with a total collapse in the SNP. Labour are up 18% there compared with around 4% ish elsewhere (notably they are DOWN in Wales where they are in control in the National Assembly which is interesting)

Reform’s result is shocking.

It's horrific if true. What % of the electorate might that represent? Hard to tell with FPTP.

Pinkstanley · 04/07/2024 22:11

I am bloody delighted if the exit polls are right for Scotland. Utterly delighted.

I’m so pissed off they have Dorries on. It’s making it unwatchable and she has nothing to add.

Was tempted to avoid C4 simply because I can’t stand looking at Dorries but now you mention it…

stripycats · 04/07/2024 22:12

I'm on C4 but Nadine and Rory already annoying me.

OneOfThoseOldFashionedWomen · 04/07/2024 22:12

A total collapse of the SNP is the one good result. Labour should be mindful.

As they should of the reform vote. Don't castigate people for voting for them, ask why people feel like they need too

RedWinePoliticsAndHair · 04/07/2024 22:13

Well fuck me. Hope it's right.

grumpypedestrian · 04/07/2024 22:13

Dorres still defending Johnson is just, wow.

Muting Widecome though.

AlwaysFreezing · 04/07/2024 22:13

I'm so relieved. Hopefully the polls are as good as previous years (notwithstanding Brexit).

I'm.off for a nap. See you all in 4 hours ish.

fungipie · 04/07/2024 22:05

funny - wow, I am not laughing, at all. Gives me the shivers.

Funny as in Farage was convinced he was going to be the opposition, and get 150+ seats or something. He got a shitty 13 seats!

There’s been a lot of discontent rumbling about Labour here since the pandemic (and before). The Vaughan Gething thing didn’t help.

CaveMum · 04/07/2024 22:14

I think the point they’re making about vote share is important, it’s likely that Labour haven’t increased their % share by much compared to 2019.

Shitandrun · 04/07/2024 22:14

Shit, I've seen loads of Reform posters in gardens where I live. If we become a Reform constituency I'll bloody move.

piscofrisco · 04/07/2024 22:14

@Silviasilvertoes she is already losing her shit. She just accused Campbell of being sexist and called for the return of Boris and it's only 10.15!

UtilitarianNameChange · 04/07/2024 22:14

Have we had a turn out percentage announced on any channel so far?
