I am always intrigued by people who think insulting people will make them see the error of their ways.
Either that or they think it is amusing and it makes them sound 'edgy' and clever.
It does neither of these things, just makes the poster sound unintelligent enough to debate without resorting to playground tactics.

I don’t think I am edgy or clever, I am an ex Tory party member who is disgusted by what they have done and how they have treated everyone, and I can see clearly those who are still supporting them, are doing so for the wrong reasons!

There is no debate on this thread I'm afraid. It's just a huge left wing dog whistle.

Where was the debate? Tory supporters were asked how they feel about Tories using insider knowledge to make fraudulent bets on the election date and not one of them addressed it, choosing instead to search desperately for Labour misdemeanours - some of which are deliberately falsely attributed to Labour by the poster.

You might see that as a left wing dog whistle, but it looks a lot more like desperate right-wing deflection and an absolute refusal of Tories to justify or defend reprehensible Tory actions.

OrangeMacaron · 28/06/2024 14:50

And the debunked note controversy is a massive Tory dog whistle, but it was you who brought it up @TheNuthatch

Crikeyalmighty · 28/06/2024 13:25

@Gwenhwyfar so far - none I believe. The one that was suspended bet on himself to lose - that's not insider information- that's just twatty behaviour

Yep.

I'd say if they (Tory voters) can forgive everything that happened through COVID and the lies that have come out since honestly and integrity are not high on the voting criteria it's more who's better for my finances not the greater good.

Just for the record, my family actually stands to lose out on PIP if the Tories get back in @jannier, which somewhat debunks the myth that all Tories only vote for themselves and only Labour voters are marvellous enough to think of the 'greater good'.
If I vote Tory (and it is still an if), I will be voting for them because they align the closest with my values. I do not agree with everything they stand for, but I don't agree with everything any party stands for.
I am absolutely fed up with the back-slapping on here about how caring and selfless Labour voters are and how Tory voters only care about themselves. It's nonsense.

Who said I was a labour voter but as I'm in Uxbridge I can't tolerate what Boris did and he wasn't alone.

Good lord. Webbe isnt a Labour candidate either.

She was a Labour MP when she was elected in 2019!

My post (Look who took over from Keith Vaz in Leicester East) was correct.

None of the four former Conservative MPs in your post (posted just before me) are candidates in this election. One rule for you - one for me.

Thank goodness I missed your joyless post yesterday.

You have nothing

I get enjoyment out of life therefore I have everything.

I meant you have nothing in terms of evidence to support your point, nothing to contribute to the discussion except for articles which don't back up what you're trying to say - not that you have nothing in life.

OrangeMacaron · 29/06/2024 20:48

But I see you're back on shift @clavinova and copying and pasting starts again. Enjoy the final week of Tory government!

I will enjoy the two weeks immediately after the election even more - I have a two week overseas holiday booked with my family.

Maybe the pp who suspected Clav was really Mrs Sunak was right! Only it's likely to be a lot longer than 2 weeks.

I’m just baffled why we are focusing on a small number of people who have made a poor, but not illegal, bet for fairly small stakes. It’s was a stupid thing to do.

But in the scale of things it is utterly, utterly irrelevant. We should be talking about the policies, the policies and the policies. And why the isn’t the fact that reform is being treated as a political party when it’s actually a business with Farage as the majority shareholder!!

No, it isn't irrelevant. It's central to the Conservative ethos of greed and corruption. The point is that they have become a party where their members see nothing wrong with lying and committing fraud if it lines their pockets.

Make no mistake, betting on something using insider information is fraud. It's fascinating that you, as a Conservative supporter, think otherwise.

What a silly post. It"s posts like this-demonstrating a complete lack of common sense and critical thinking - that has turned me off Labour completely. I would not want to be associated with voters such as this any more than I would want to be associated with people who vote Reform
You might think you are very clever and righteous but your attitude is a complete turn-off.
