I've seen quite a few threads where people have said they would not vote for Labour because of their stance on gender.

Would somebody be able to explain in simple terms why this is please

Many thanks

i’m always being told on here how just because someone does x wrong doesn’t mean they aren’t right about other things

OK a tweet, with no citation to substantiate the claim, from a man with a very obvious bias is not evidence.

Dr Cass was very clear that she only used studies and data which met robust research standards. The question of suicide risk in gender questioning adolescents is very difficult to answer reliably but she did comprehensively document trends in mental health conditions in teenagers.

Dr Michael Biggs has attempted to analyse the data available from the Tavistock. It suggests a higher risk of suicide or self harm when compared to the general population of teenagers but there is not a single comparable cohort of teenagers which experiences all the same complex problems as gender questioning teenagers minus the gender questioning aspect.

Adolescents referred to the Tavistock had higher rates of other factors which are also associated with an increased risk of suicide.

Further difficulties occur in estimating suicidality because girls are disproportionately represented in the Tavistock cohort and boys tend to have higher rates of suicide.
