Yet to see a single Conservative sign

Anyone else live in traditional rural Conservative stronghold who have yet to see any Conservative signs out.

I live in a rural area where the vote is often split between Tory or Lib Dem. Current sitting MP is a Conservative. The local farmers usually put out huge Conservative signs in their fields around election time. I've yet to see any. Seen lots of the usual Lib Dem signs, and quite a few Greens. But no Conservative at all is really unusual.

I also saw a poll from the Farmers Weekly if 13,000 which suggests the Conservatives will only get 5% of their vote, lib dems 21%, reform 13% and Labour an enormous 61%. I'm very shocked by this and I would say this is pretty damning for the Conservatives, who often can rely on the vote from the Farming community!

Give over. What a load of rubbish. And if they are worried at incurring wrath, a wonder why that might be 🤔

In our high street there is a little door to some
sort of conservative office. It was vandalised recently. Tbh I didn’t know it was there until it was vandalised. It isn’t rubbish what the quoted poster said - there’s plenty of vandalism aimed at conservative places, offices or houses.

I suppose it’d be like having a ‘I voted Brexit’ sign in your window 🤷‍♀️

No that would be a Reform poster . Not all conservative voters voted for Brexit .

Indeed but what I meant was, who’d want to show their ignorance

The unpleasant, blinkered self-righteousness of Labour supporters is making me dread the consequences of awful authoritarian people like that having power in this country. I am pretty sure I’ll not be spoiling my ballot this time, but voting Tory.

It's almost as if people are feeling a burning fury against the Tories, isn't it?! I just can't imagine why....🤔

Right, it's so unpleasant, blinkered and self-righteous to want improvements in the NHS, education, the environment, trade, workers' rights...

And when you say authoritarian people, you do mean the Tories, who have stifled the right to free and peaceful protest in the UK, don't you?

Saw them being put up just down the road from work this week. Semi rural, conservative until recently. Not entirely sure what's happened to the boundaries as many seats around us have been rejigged

Indeed why are they so unhappy, angry even at the last 14 years of Tory governments.

Maybe the wasted billions, the contracts for mates and various lies and sleeze has gone over the heads of Tory voters, or they just don't care or they condone what the Tory Party have done? Why so accepting of this?

The dream to want better for the many rather than the few.

As opposed to the self serving bunch now on government of lies, contracts for mates leading to billions in orofit (Mone et al), throwing money away on Rwanda self serving attitudes.... I mean pillars of society 🙄

Rural. Tory area (current MP)
Plenty signs up. Canvassed (x2) at door.

ClonedSquare · 26/06/2024 11:17

I'm in a semi-rural area that previously has been a Tory safe seat for decades. I've seen a grand total of one Tory sign when driving around and that was on the side of a business rather than a residential house. Everywhere else I go, it's labour posters and signs all over.

I'm not 100% confident Labour will win here as it's such a Tory stronghold but you'd think it was close based on the public support for the Labour Candidate

We have just spent a week in rural north Norfolk where there were lots of conservative posters for the incumbent MP. Here in East Sussex we have had no flyers and there appear to be very few posters or at least the occasional one for each or the parties only. Incumbent conservative is expected to win.
