Inspired by another thread, which 3 MPs would you love to see having a Portillo moment ?

Mine are:

Caroline Nokes
Jacob Rees Mogg
Jonathan Gullis

There was also him claiming heating for his wife's stables on his expenses. Not sure how he managed that, apparently it was down as his second home so maybe he thinks he lives in a stable?

He’s not the messiah, he’s a very naughty boy!

I think you might be right.

Good news that HMRC and Stockport Council are dropping the case as well. Good for Angela she can get on with the election.

Some people on other threads do not share your happiness.
I do though.

Exactly. Forgetting £3 million really takes some doing.

Was it not £5 million?

But it's OK as he was sorry for his 'careless mistake'

At least we have each other. 😂

It was a £3.7 million tax bill that he ‘forgot’ to declare and a £1.1 million penalty for being careless.

As long as he kept his horses warm, that's all that matters

Is that why they’re called Warmbloods? 🐎

DailyMailReporterTwat · 28/05/2024 22:04

Among many candidates I'd select Rees-Mogg and Jamie Wallis. They are both loathsome pimples on the arsehole of humanity. I have a visceral hatred for both of them. Second rate pointless scum.

GreenClock · 28/05/2024 22:09

Rees Mogg is disgusting. I’d like to see him lose to Count Binface.

That would be fabulous. Do we know where Binface is standing yet?

Nope! Haven’t seen a manifesto yet either. I’m hoping it features capping the price of croissants again.

Echobelly · 28/05/2024 22:22

Jacob Rees Mogg
Suella Braverman
Priti Patel

Euromonkey · 28/05/2024 22:48

So many to choose from but here are my top 3:

  1. Jacob Rees-Mogg for his unforgivable comments about the victims in the Grenfell Tower
  2. Priti Patel - for lack of human decency and bullying
  3. Gavin Williamson - for complete ineptitude as education secretary and also for bullying

(Dis)honourable mentions to Jonathan Gullis - for his braying unacceptable conduct in the HoP.
Grant Shapps (or whatever name he is going by these days) for being Johnson’s biddable apologist and lapdog
Braverman for being a sociopath

I would put my useless lump of an MP on the list but he’s standing down.

So THAT's what Theresa May meant by strong and stable government!

verdantverdure · 22/06/2024 21:00

I can’t do just three. I need about 300 please

Jenrick, Truss, and about 300 others please

Who are your top 3 MPs for a Portillo moment.
MistyHedgehog · 23/06/2024 14:52

Echobelly · 28/05/2024 22:22

Jacob Rees Mogg
Suella Braverman
Priti Patel

All of these.

Plus my MP Bob Blackman who is a Boris crony.

Cobol · 23/06/2024 15:01

BananaLambo · 25/05/2024 15:46

Mogg with survive sadly. In that corner of the world you could stick a blue rosette on a baboon and it would still get elected.

It's not the same corner of the world anymore, though. NE Somerset is now NE Somerset & Hanham and Mogg is much more vulnerable with the new boundaries.

GodlessCommie · 23/06/2024 15:04

There are over 20 on my list but if I have to choose three, Sunak, Rees Mogg and Gove.

motheronthedancefloor · 23/06/2024 15:23

I'm looking forward to seeing several SNP MPs lose their seats although probably not a 'portillo' moment.

Gove isn’t standing, is he?

ilovesooty · 24/06/2024 06:25

No, Gove isn't standing.

I see the loathsome Míriam Cates is likely to lose her seat.
