If you believe men and women can't change sex, who are you going to vote for?

Has Keir come to his senses or is he still insisting that some men have cervixes?

What's your view on who a GC woman should vote for?

Starmer is a slinky snake and no, I don't trust him or believe him.

I'm afraid Conservatives are the only party that are making the right noises re women and children's rights. We have Kemi and Miriam - both brilliant.

The same Miriam Cates who voted against introducing censorship zones around abortion clinics? Yeah a real defender of women's rights she is.

KnickerlessParsons · 22/05/2024 17:59

I checked in with my local Conservative candidate recently about his views on gender ID, single sex spaces etc etc and he gave all the right answers.
Labour guy didn't bother to reply.

It's the most important issue for me and the biggest difference between the two parties. Everything else is just whether you spend the money we don't have on education, roads, NHS, defence, benefits or something else.

OmuraWhale · 22/05/2024 17:59

Labour. I'm GC but this is only one issue.

BigCroc · 22/05/2024 18:00

since I first fell down the rabbit hole of gender ideology in 2018 (thanks to mumsnet) things have changed so much, and many women have been threatened and silenced for having concerns about allowing males into female spaces. I read about so many cases of women being intimidated, losing their jobs, having the police turn up to their houses, for things like misgendering.
Many young people have been affected by gender ideology, particularly young women with autism. Many go through irreversible changes caused by medication and surgery, then realize it was a mistake.
They were affirmed every step of the way, with no medical professionals questioning the possible causes of their dysphoria.
I think things seem to be getting more scrutiny now, thanks to the Cass report.
I know that is also due the the hard work and sacrifice of many brave women. I’m very worried that Labour will undo all that work.
But I can’t vote for more conservative rule, so what to do?

Nesbi · 22/05/2024 18:01

Labour.

Cofaki · 22/05/2024 18:06

Conservative. I can't vote for a party that will change the definition of woman.

BreakdanceWindmill · 22/05/2024 18:10

RemarkablyBrightCreature · 22/05/2024 17:44

Labour. Just because the tories supposedly “know what a woman is” doesn’t mean they give a flying fuck about them 🙄

This 💯!!!!!

TakeOnFlea · 22/05/2024 18:18

Yeah cause the tories are all about improving things for women 🤣🤣 fucking hell. No way will I vote for another 5 years of this shit

LlynTegid · 22/05/2024 18:20

Vote for someone most likely to stop rape being almost decriminalised in all but name, which the Tories have done.

Yeah, sod everything else. I can only assume that you can afford private schools and healthcare. Lucky you(!)

Dollenganger333 · 22/05/2024 18:20

This is literally just a disingenuous attempt to justify why you carry on voting for the Tories. Try harder lol

Spinet · 22/05/2024 18:21

Labour, obviously.

HalfasleepChrisintheMorning · 22/05/2024 18:22

I’m voting Conservative. I’m gender critical, I don’t want VAT on school fees and our Tory MP is a great constituency MP.

LetsGoRoundTheRoundabout · 22/05/2024 18:23

berksandbeyond · 22/05/2024 17:54

Labour. There’s no perfect situation here but I’d rather shit in my hands and clap than vote Tory in 6 weeks

Absolutely.

Im totally GC, but I think the country has a better chance with Labour in power.

The conservatives don’t give a shit about women’s rights, they’ve just seen a potential vote winner and are saying some of the right things.

Creepybookworm · 22/05/2024 18:26

Liberal as labour as no chance here and I can't vote Tory as they are wrong on everything else. Also the gender fuckery has occured throughout their government.

ValueAddedTaxonomy · 22/05/2024 18:26

Once Starmer accepted Natalie Elphicke into the party I just stopped feeling guilty or torn about not being able to vote Labour because of gender bollocks.

They are no longer a respectable principled party. Full stop. They have the same name as the party that used to be the Labour Party. That's about it.

I will research my individual candidates and see if the Labour candidate or any other non-Tory and non-Reform candidate is worth voting for on their individual merits.

ginasevern · 22/05/2024 18:31

Underthinker · 22/05/2024 17:46

Usually a Labour voter.
I'll vote party of women if they have a candidate in my area, but I would guess they'll only stand in a few places to begin with.
Failing that, if Labour completely U turn on their "almost self ID" proposal then maybe Labour.
Otherwise spoiled ballot.

(I don't have the complete hatred of the conservative party that many here do, but I am politically left leaning so I don't see myself voting for them.)

How can you be politically left leaning and not hate the Tory party? Especially this 14 year long shit show.

Errolwasahero · 22/05/2024 18:31

Labour. The issue isn’t more important than every other issue and if we have any more years of Tories we’ll all be f**ked.

Lottelenya · 22/05/2024 18:32

@KnickerlessParsons why don’t we have any money ?

DuchessNope · 22/05/2024 18:37

I won’t be voting for the party that has presided over TIM in women’s prisons and the medication of non gender conforming children not the party that allowed men in women’s wards in hospitals so I’ll be voting labour.

BadBarry · 22/05/2024 18:42

Conservatives, I think it will be worse under Labour, economically and socially.
It's not that I don't wish there was a better option but there just isn't.
I despair at the current state of things so I really wish there were better options.

SwordToFlamethrower · 22/05/2024 19:23

Posie parkers party, or no one at all.

I campaigned hard for Labour in 2017 and 19 :( so devastated

pikkumyy77 · 22/05/2024 19:24

Whoever will pursue all my other policy goals for government, health, safety.
