Just a little fourward planning . We are all looking forward to another thread of fabulous pictures. It can be a quiet time but I am sure some of us will have autumnal colours to share . The trees are starting to turn here . I have just picked an allium from my photo collection to start the thread off .
You are very welcome to finish or visit the old thread . I do not know how to do ... this is the old thread here thing .

@WobblyLondoner

Maybe if you aren't trying to grow a prize winning rose you could hard prune only one branch in the back where it's not noticeable, to see if my gardening tip works..especially since you were thinking of replacing it with a more prolific bloomer...I've always been a fly-by-the-seat-of-my- pants gardener and never pay attention to any rules, so that's how I discovered that my roses would continue to bloom through the summer...(It could be that I was just lucky to have an extra bloomer anyway)...I never did do that pruning or cutting like they say...cut below the fifth leaf set or something?

Your flowers are incredibly amazingly perfectly beautiful! (Can you tell I'm like them a smidge?Grin)
The colours of the first 3 are so soft and then the 4th is so brilliant! You've quite a green thumb!

AnneKipanki · 22/06/2021 20:03

Are we going to have a 5th thread, @AnneKipanki? Thank you so for taking the lead on these colourful threads...I've learnt so much about global gardening and global gardeners.Wink

BTW, what's happening colour-wise in Australia now that it's winter?

AnneKipanki · 22/06/2021 20:17

Thank you sweetpea. The roses are truly in bloom now.

They say youse (pronounced use) in Dublin too AnneKipanki Smile

I would say ‘you’. ‘You all have such beautiful flowers’ . But now I’m hearing ‘y’all have some mighty fine flowers’’ in a deep southern US accent, inside my head Grin😂

I’ve only seen a (the)? hedgehog once so far this season. He/she comes out when it’s very dark —past my bedtime— Blush so I will hopefully see more when the nights begin to get darker. 🙏 I think they are having their babies at the moment

That’s a scenery picture from last weekend. There’s a deer drinking water from the lake ❤️

beautyisfoundwithin · 22/06/2021 21:30

Wow, @AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet! such amazing photos! I'm in awe of all your roses. And you're not alone in your imagination of the deep southern US accent in your head! 😂 Where was that beautiful scenery picture taken? Is that where you live?

Love that story of the yellow rose from your DH @Sweetpea1532, so sweet. Also a gorgeous Bougainvillea in the background 🤩

No new flowers to share here so instead I'll share a photo of my toad who has been spending a lot of time sunbathing and swimming these past couple of days! 🐸
