I've got a hole in paving (deliberate!), that creeping thyme is a great idea Dita.

AnneKipanki · 01/07/2020 15:40

It is nice to have visitors like that.
I do not have much to add today . The photos are all fantastic though.

It's really baustiful @Noflora but it does get full of bees in summer

Noflora · 01/07/2020 15:45

Even better dita, we have a hive and I like to keep our girls local.

AnneKipanki · 01/07/2020 16:00

@Oldraver black knight looks awesome, and is bi-colour the flower power one? That looks insane!

@applecatchers36 thanks for the link, very interesting (bad for my bank balance 😆)

beautyisfoundwithin · 02/07/2020 09:17

Wow, your mum's garden is beautiful @ditavonteesed!

Some lovely Dahlias as well, I'm impatiently waiting for mine but my garden is also behind thanks to the weather this year 😞

Oldraver · 02/07/2020 09:39

Beautiful @Oldraver, they just go on and on don't they? I love how luminous they look when they come out in the evening and then the graceful decline through the colours before a new flush appear.

Noflora · 02/07/2020 11:05

Is that the biennial or perrenial sort of EP Oldraver? it is lovely and I fancy one of them.

First sweet peas and The Generous Gardener rose

@Noflora I'm not sure, they were from a box of wildflower mix I sowed in the back garden, then next door's gardener tipped some topsoil on my front garden and these appeared. So looks like the seeds jumped the fence, then made it round the front Grin

I just let them seed each year and new little plants appear

Oldraver · 02/07/2020 12:14

I've just planted my new acre as well

The front is slowly filling up

Pretty thing Oldraver. That sounds like the biennial , thanks for the info.

Oldraver · 02/07/2020 12:57

@BewareTheBeardedDragon ....Yes the bi-colur one is FlowerPower. I didnt realise it was called that until recently. I really wanted one and while it is lovely it does look a little insipid next to the purple one

I also planted last year a berries and cream, it's not quite out at the moment.

beautyisfoundwithin · 02/07/2020 16:12

Gorgeous as always @AlwaysOnAbloodyDiet!

Lovely Sweet Peas @Noflora, glad to see yours are flowering! They're my favourites and I always try to grow loads, but they're really far behind this year. This time last year I had my first vase of cut flowers, whereas this year by the looks of it they're still a while off any flowers appearing at all 😔

@popgoesperfection , they are pretty large flower fronds about a foot long , 8 to 10 inches wide at the base . The leaves are enormous, about the size of a large circular tray .

It's so pretty!!! I'm a big fan of pampas grass and it sort of reminds me of that.
