Today the heucharas are looking particularly fabulous

Absolutely beautiful. I'd happily fill my garden with heuchera 😍

applecatchers36 · 30/06/2020 06:29

Wow that white hydrangea is a show stopper! Loving the crocisima, heucharas with their contrasting leaves. That little Dianthus is too sweet!

ditavonteesed · 30/06/2020 08:08

Today’s offerings, simple flowers that make me smile. Does anyone know what the middle one is, they are everywhere and I don’t know if it’s seeds I put in or a weed, it’s pretty though. And this poor heuchera I put in at the same time as the others, it clearly doesn’t like my garden much

Your heuchera still looks better than all of mine, but then they were lockdown plug plants Grin

The mystery one looks a bit like a sedum (which self seeds everywhere), but I could be wrong.... I also thought of ladies mantle or cerinthe. You'll have to keep us posted Wink

I like your trough @ditavonteesed !

I particularly love that dark purple Heuchara @ditavonteesed.

I've come outside today to find that some of my roses seem to have just exploded open overnight! In particular I noticed one that's a little ragged round the edges but seems to have a double bloom, which I haven't seen before, so that's exciting. I'm certainly a complete novice with roses compared to some of you experts on this thread!

I'm also loving how frilly this Fuschia has turned out to be now it's opening up! Especially as it was only a cheap little one from the supermarket.

The mystery plant looks like it might be a euphorbia @ditavonteesed. Does it have a milky white sap if you cut a stem? Make sure you wear gloves if you do that though as it is toxic and an irritant. It's a fascinating genus that has the most diverse range of plants including poinsettia, giant succulent trees like Euphorbia candelabrum, and tiny herbs.

I finally learned how to spell it by mentally pronouncing it fuck-seer. Don’t do it out loud though...Wink
Oldraver · 30/06/2020 18:45

My darker purple buddleja has come out

Oh no - I can't believe I've been spelling it wrong! 🤦🏼‍♀️ Especially as I'm normally a bit of a stickler for spelling! I definitely won't forget now thanks to your handy hint @GiantKitten! 😂

Love that Petunia @RaptorInaPorkPieHat!

Lovely @Oldraver. I'm still waiting for mine to come out.

ditavonteesed · 01/07/2020 07:44

Not my garden today, I went round to see my mum yesterday. I can’t get the whole garden into 3 pics but here’s a taster.

Beautiful deep colour @Oldraver

Your mums garden is amazing @ditavonteesed Love love love the carved trunk 😍

I love the colours and delicacy of colouration and form of little flowers up close. The hairy stamen on the mullein is particularly riotous, weird and wonderful Grin

That is a very pretty mallow - do you know the variety?

poupeediop · 01/07/2020 10:48

wow @ditavonteesed beautiful

Oldraver · 01/07/2020 14:14

@BewareTheBeardedDragon I'm not sure exact what colour it is as I bought two plants from Groupon that should of been bi-colour, so still had to go and buy the one u want

I have a Black Knight which is very dark but not quite out yet

RaptorInaPorkPieHat · 01/07/2020 15:25

Ooh lovely Dahlias Smile and that mallow is fab!

Todays pic is a Harlequin climbing rose (which is why it's so far away Wink) it starts off yellow and then turns pink.
