WitchWindows I think your blue flower is a Centaurea montana, also known as cornflower.
Here's some of mine, I love the London Pride with its tiny flowers. The Irises never comes out well in pictures, all the purple colours get turned into blue

A narcissus/ daffodil flower. It has a beautiful fragrance.
A border with polygonatum , pulmonaria, and hellebores.

Do you live quite far north @annekipanki? Or is that a late flowering daffodil?

No pictures from me today. I spent all morning digging huge rocks out of a flowerbed, so I’ve kind of had enough of my garden for the day 😂

I love seeing what everyone else is growing though!

Ooh, this will inspire me to take some photos. I look, but never snap!

Here's the last magnolia on a plant my dad grew for me from a stick. I'm sure there's a posh word for it, but it was a stick- no root.

There's a bit of marsh marigold thrown in for good measure. It's lovely, a real burst of early colour, and happy sat in a steel bucket.

My clematis, three in a planter. I’ve had them so long I can’t remember their names. The two purple/ pink ones are as big as saucers and if I’m lucky will repeat flower.
The white one is also large, but never has many flowers, although I’d do keep them watered and fed.

Two flowers on my Magnolia Sieboldii. I have a couple, they grow very slowly and don’t produce many flowers.

@WitchWindows how did you get your Evening Primrose ?

Mine came up in a scatter box DS did. I didn't even know what it was. I've relied on it seeding itself and gave managed to move plants, but OH had tramped on some tough ones this year

Oldraver · 17/05/2020 18:04

OH tramped on the young plants

AnneKipanki · 17/05/2020 18:25

Hardwood cuttings @picklemewalnuts !

Thanks Anne! They were quite substantial, think the ends were covered in wax.

Beebumble, those are beautiful

Yes they do look weed like when just emerging. Luckily I'd moved two before OH started digging holes and was on a destroy mission

PlayerOneNotReady · 17/05/2020 20:44

@WitchWindows nah, I meant your third picture, the thistle-like one, that's the cornflower Grin (although not showing its true colours just like my irises...)
