What's this in my shed then...?

A mass (about the size of my hand) of small grey black metallic-looking shiny balls (looks a bit like caviar, only bigger).

I guess they're eggs of some sort, I would just like to know what I'm going to be infested with, when they hatch....

eeew, think it's time for some marigolds and a plaggy bag.
(and if it is an aline species, hope the little fellas are not evolved enough to come and getcha for disposing off their spawn heh heh heh)

My humble apologies for leaving this thread up in the air - it's been a bit manic in the feisty household over the past week.

This sadly, is the last 'Shed update'.

BIBBH was right, I have been out today to give the black balls another prod. They have gone from a gloopy/rubbery consistency to what is now rock hard. What with the added frog 'activity' spied last week, I think we can safely conclude it is indeed dessicated frogspawn. The shed is so decrepid and damp that the poor old frogs obviously thought they were in close proximity to a pond.

Thank you all so much for your interest and valued input.

thanks for the update, well done Bear, looks like you were right then.

Feistybird - I still reckon there might be some camel spider's eggs hiding in there somewhere Grin I would never step foot in my shed again if I ever saw one. Actually I'd have to move house!!!
