What's this in my shed then...?

A mass (about the size of my hand) of small grey black metallic-looking shiny balls (looks a bit like caviar, only bigger).

I guess they're eggs of some sort, I would just like to know what I'm going to be infested with, when they hatch....

Let us know if he pops!

Am actually genuinley interested to what they could be.

colditz · 31/03/2006 12:54

Don't pop them, you will enrage the pod-mother, who will scuttle out from under your shed at 1 am, and weave a cocoon around your bedsheets, so you will wake up with them wrapped around your feet....

WHOOOOarrrrr a hah ha ha!

colditz · 31/03/2006 12:55

If you pop them they will leave scuttley, slimy trails all over your garden.

jmum6 · 31/03/2006 12:57

Not going out to my shed - you never know what you might find in there....

dont pop anything, how cruel!
how would we feel if we went thru all that pain of giving birth then someone 'popped' our babies?!!
:o

especially if we went thru it hundreds of times like that creature has!!

Feistybird · 31/03/2006 13:05

I am really not worried, but just out of interest, what do spider eggs look like? (and i really won't believe you if you say black metallic balls.)

Ooops it wouldn't work the first time I clicked post message - so I got a bit trigger happy. Sorry :o

Knees? Thats so they climb your stairs easier and get into the bedrooms quicker!

Nbg · 31/03/2006 13:16

I know spiders do lay alot of little eggs like what your describing.

We had a similar thing last year. The spiders that came out had a round body but quite high IYSWIM and it had a really bright pink stripe going across it.

They seemed to lurk around the shed too.

No seriously.
They weren't big by any means. Probably the size of your little finger nail.
