What's this in my shed then...?

A mass (about the size of my hand) of small grey black metallic-looking shiny balls (looks a bit like caviar, only bigger).

I guess they're eggs of some sort, I would just like to know what I'm going to be infested with, when they hatch....

it's not curled up woodlice is it?

Feistybird · 31/03/2006 20:16

I will attempt a photo tomorrow - assuming they're still there.

Gotta love this thread! A hidden gem :)

Feistybird · 31/03/2006 20:35

curioser and curioser.

DP decided he would go out there now and get a photo (avec flash), only to find 2 frogs shagging outside the door to the shed.

Could it be frog/toad spawn?

OP posts:
morningpaper · 31/03/2006 20:36

VERY LIKELY

CHICagoMUM · 31/03/2006 20:37

Doesn't frog spawn have to be in water to prevent it dessicating?

Feistybird · 31/03/2006 20:40

Charlie - no, it's not as jelly-like as that (and doesn't have the black spots), DP now has a photo, but can't currently load it on to my stoopid laptop.

mcmum · 31/03/2006 21:10

Well, well ,well. Utterrrrly unheard of to have 146 responses on a gardening thread.

NomDePlume · 01/04/2006 13:41

Ewwwwwww. Have they hatched yet

Nbg · 01/04/2006 13:45

JUST POP THE BLOODY THINGS!
Grin

I have to admit, Bearinthebluehouse suggestion seemed quite probable.

It does look like frog spawn.

NomDePlume · 01/04/2006 13:51

I'm watching with horrified curiosity

Feistybird · 01/04/2006 13:55

I just er....touched it Shock

It felt like jelly.

It doesn't have that opaque look of frog spawn tho...
