A mass (about the size of my hand) of small grey black metallic-looking shiny balls (looks a bit like caviar, only bigger).

I guess they're eggs of some sort, I would just like to know what I'm going to be infested with, when they hatch....

It's tempting.
Not a bad idea tbh.

Will be definatley putting the loo seat cover down now everytime it's used thats for sure!

nailpolish · 31/03/2006 13:41

nbg, when he phoned rentokil they said "we will be there in 4-6 hours" and guess what? FIL stayed in the house with the rat! he sat in the kitchen and just shut the door. WTF? would you not just go to your neighbours????

nailpolish · 31/03/2006 13:42

oh come on feisty

NomDePlume · 31/03/2006 13:43

I'd have armed myself with a big f*ck off garden fork or something and sat in wait for the rat to emerge

Nbg · 31/03/2006 13:43

I'd be tempted to whack the bloody thing if I could bring myself to get that close.

Omg that poor dog will be scared for life.

NomDePlume · 31/03/2006 13:44

Good enough for it, can't bear little yappy dogs Wink

Nbg · 31/03/2006 13:44

OMG IT CAME IN THROUGH THE TOILET!!!!!!!!!

NomDePlume · 31/03/2006 13:45

jmum6 · 31/03/2006 13:46

Thats how rats get into the house isn't it?

You just have to check for tiny wet footprints in the morning on the bathroom floor!

Kidstrack2 · 31/03/2006 13:48

Lol really cheered me up, now i want to know what they are? i def think its not ants, which leaves a SPIDER!!!! I had eggs in my shed 2yrs ago left round the window, a bit black and shiny, i sent dp out with Mr Muscle foaming oven cleaner to spray on themGrin

jmum6 · 31/03/2006 13:50

I have to go at 2 and am dying to know what the eggs are - feistybird hurry up and get checking!!!

nailpolish · 31/03/2006 13:50

spiders nests are usually surrounded by web-type-stuff

at least they are in my garden

pepperpots · 31/03/2006 13:51

OMG!!!!! I didn't know rats came through the toilet! What if you happen to be sat on it when the are working their way up Although i once heard a story about a snake working its way up the loo! ShockShockever since that i wont use any toilet unless the light is on or i can see clearly down it

Nbg · 31/03/2006 13:52

Nbg · 31/03/2006 13:55

PMSL.

Sorry but the thought of a Rat trying to climb up my arse...

pepperpots · 31/03/2006 13:56

eurghh!!! What a shocker opening the loo seat to be faced with a little furry head peeking out or like jmum said seeing little wet footprints leading out the bathroom and in your bedroom

Kidstrack2 · 31/03/2006 13:56

the documentries i've watched about snakes and rats etc have been found in toilet u-bends etc, one snake was found in a washing machine in Australia

jmum6 · 31/03/2006 13:57

Maybe the rat has a new way of reproducing and now lays black metallic eggs in sheds because it's covers been blown about coming into houses via the toilet!

Obviously adaptable.

Kidstrack2 · 31/03/2006 13:58

i'm safe my bathromm is upstairs, any of you who have downstairs loos, i erm would keep the lid closed! we will all be checking the bathroom floor in the morning for footprints! lol
