Some of us already have btech results, some have unconditionals, but it's a nervous time for most. Lots of

DS was just grilled by me about timings, not going to check emails at midnight because many reasons so there. Has chosen to go in at the latest time of any of his friends (nearly lunch). I got a bit stern because in all likelihood there will need to be a pleading phone call to even get him close to his favoured uni and the sooner we get started the better. I got the most sullen look he's ever mustered but I'm 99% sure it's because he doesn't think he got in and is putting it off until the last moment. Head in the sand tactic has been headed off. For now.

I do NOT like this, not one bit.

Joining you all as nervous for DS who needs to get AAB but I have just noticed his preferred University is showing his course as having places through clearing with BBB. Haven't told him this.
DD went through clearing last year which was a stressful 24 hours but worked out in the end.

Not a drop of gin in the house........

OK, he is home. It turns out he was having collywobbles because he is frustrated that he couldn't do as well as he wanted to, and most of his friends are looking at A grades and RG universities.

Have given him a pep talk and we're watching Sacha Baron Cohen as a distraction.

Hi all. Just checking in. Ds1 and I have driven the four hours home from our holiday so that he can collect his results today! He is nervous, I am calm about it though. I will be driving him in to school as I don't know how well he will be able to concentrate on driving. We have a plumber and electrician coming in the morning to fit the large kitchen appliances and I have to let him in before we can collect the results. I hope he's not late...

What did she get? Any of those super duper grades?
