So who on here gets it?

Is it the 'unidentified meat with a face' stuff?

cazboldy · 22/05/2008 20:16

meat?

Mercy · 22/05/2008 20:17

What's billy bear meat?

MissingMyHeels · 22/05/2008 20:17

No way, vile stuff.

WilfSell · 22/05/2008 20:18

Are you mad woman? It's got bear testicles in it.

PuppyMonkey · 22/05/2008 20:18

Oh, I used to get this for dd1 - but that was 11 years ago and I am so much more grown up now... Do they still do it?

Disenchanted · 22/05/2008 20:19

pmsl, my mum always tries to buy DS billy bear meat, he just looks at her and says 'eww no'

Cloudhopper · 22/05/2008 20:19

No, but they have eaten it while at a friend's house. I was a little bit but figured once in a while it wouldn't do any harm.

It was weird watching dd eat it though. Politeness eh?

totalmisfit · 22/05/2008 20:20

ewww...

WilfSell · 22/05/2008 20:21

This is gonna go the way of the Greggs and Fruitshoots, you do know that don't you?

OrmIrian · 22/05/2008 20:22

My DCs always like the look of it but never enjoyed it when they had it. Which isn't surprising.

Fillyjonk · 22/05/2008 20:23

ok, what is this stuff?

pmsl at the reviews of the meat on there

WigWamBam · 22/05/2008 20:30

Come and judge me then.

When it's the only cold meat your child will eat, you don't have much choice ... I hate the idea of the stuff but there's bugger all else dd will eat between two slices of bread (apart from hot roast gammon, and she's not getting that every time she has a sandwich).

She's having packed lunches after half-term; maybe you'd all like to come and point and stare at the weird girl with the mystery meat ...

bogie · 22/05/2008 20:31

I would send them with cheese or cheese spread or let them go hungry

OP posts:
Piffle · 22/05/2008 20:34

well how on earth did she find out she liked it?
my kids do not even know what is.
I'd rather they had butter and jam or just bread for that matter.

Sorry I know that sounds well judgey but heck that stuff is vile and has zero or questionable nutritional value. And so processed.
ugh

ButterflyBessie · 22/05/2008 20:34

So the reviewers on those two websites are paid to write those reviews am I right?

That food is something that I would not even give to my cats, I am shocked that there are so many people who would and do buy it

basically it is fucking shite

WigWamBam · 22/05/2008 20:34

She's already going hungry because the school meals have gone downhill, and I'm not sending her in with sandwiches she won't eat so that the dinner ladies can tell her off for not eating them.

Why on earth should she go hungry just because some people want to sit in judgement?

ButterflyBessie · 22/05/2008 20:36

because it is not food it is crap, i cannot believe it is the only thing she would eat and if it is who the fuck gave it to her in the first place??

deanychip · 22/05/2008 20:37

i object strongly to buying any thing kinda gimmicky, stuff like cheese strings and yoghurts shaped like strawberries and stuff i refuse to buy this and just tell my kids that its too many pennies so we cant buy it.
i buy proper ham, proper cheese that if they want in theor lunch bags, i cut a chunk off it and they eat it like that, i buy normal yoghurts in pots as well.

i think that they are expensive and nutritionaly questionable.
just my personal opinion.

WigWamBam · 22/05/2008 20:37

Save your vitriol and bad language for someone who gives a shit.

Why is it anyone else's business who gave it to her?

Jesus, you answer a simple question and end up being sworn at.

Washersaurus · 22/05/2008 20:38

I have to agree; I would rather let my boys go hungry than feed them crap like that.

Just out of interest, would YOU eat it for your lunch WWB?
