The most surprising food your dc's like...

dc has his fair share of food fussiness but also surprises me with some things I didn't expect a 2 year old to like e.g.:

• smoked salmon (a boy of expensive tastes!)
• ground pepper added to food
• mustard
• raw yellow, red peppers
• boring dark green lettuce not just crunchy stuff

.....so, what are the most surprising things your dc's like to eat?

Sushi
Salad/raw spinach leaves
Smoked salmon
DS1 loves tomatoes and would rather have a raw carrot than chocolate.

olives
and moules.
other fishy stuff too.
humous - but thats not wierd...
curries

what they dont eat is nuggets, fish fingers etc. much to my chagrin on lazy mother days... ive tried serving them but they dont have it. dss eats nothing but crap (when hes here at least, his mother doesnt see fit to discuss anything with me so i have no real idea what he eats at home) and when hes here we try to amalgamate the two menus, but either he or my lot dont eat whatever comes up so far. sigh.

took mine to maccas other week. to my delight, my dc all turned their noses up and said my burgers were nicer. hah! (dss says opposite when i serve my burgers of course)

mine wasn't a typo, it was just my fluent italian spilling over...
