Hello all, can i join in please? I will put mine in at 7.30 when husband home from work, and can download camera for me. I will make him a nice surprise pudding for tea. Thank you.
Hi Slubberdegullion, nice to see you again.

Tigi · 09/07/2007 12:58

yes F&Z, there is a separate thread to debate it. I'm sure there is....

Tigi · 09/07/2007 12:59

bread is sooooooooo boring though don't you think [bored rigid face]

fishiejane · 09/07/2007 13:29

perhaps your bread is not as good as you might hope tigi...?

Tigi · 09/07/2007 13:39

That is very true! I made some at christmas, little rolls, they did taste lovely, but were nothing much to look at! I just think it's a bit boring! But that is just my opinion, as the others well know!

Slubberdegullion · 09/07/2007 13:43

Afternoon all.

You could do bread photographed in a place of historic interest or natural beauty?

I will volunteer as judge. I am back doing vsc's. First one tonight. No 8 inchers in lakeland. I'm feeling rebellious and might put a 7incher in. Really really can't justify buying more apparatus for this blessed show.

Slubberdegullion · 09/07/2007 13:48

Having a better day today? Is the sun shining for you?

Slubberdegullion · 09/07/2007 13:52

No, there is maybe a centimetre of blue sky I can see if I stick my head out of the window and crane it round a bit. Other wise its great big grey rain sodden clouds .

But thank you for asking. Sun for you?

MrsFish · 09/07/2007 13:53

Bread doesn't have to look boring... see

MrsFish · 09/07/2007 13:54

Can someone come and look after my ds for me please, I am totally knackered and could do with a nap

Slubberdegullion · 09/07/2007 13:55

lol MrsFish. This weeks village show is who can bake the most bagettes and arrange them in an arty yet gaily abandoned manner.

OP posts:
Tigi · 09/07/2007 13:59

Mrs Fish, you piccie won't come up... Is that your twin sister on here too? (Fishiejane) I did wonder if it wa sjust you playing silly beggars!
Lovely sunshine here Slubs. been gardening all morn! Thought about your suggestion about photographing my bread in a site of historic interest, I could put it on top of my ironing pile!

MrsFish · 09/07/2007 14:01

Nope, no sister for me just a brother

Slubberdegullion · 09/07/2007 14:04

Rain with you MrsFish. You're northerly aren't you?

We have a Roman Ampitheatre being excavated here....now if I was doing bread I'd take it out on a lovely trip and take a shot of it on an ancient Roman wall. And by-jingo's you lot would be interested and excited to see it. That would be a thrilling loaf.

Tigi · 09/07/2007 14:05

How are your veins and stretch marks today MrsFish. Is the excitement of these baking comps not putting undue stress and worry on you and your placenta?

Tigi · 09/07/2007 14:05

Oooh Slubs, you have me drooling now

Slubberdegullion · 09/07/2007 14:13

Hey we even have a Roman reenactment day coming up at some point. I could give my bread to an oiled, muscular and bare chested gladiator and photograph it as he ripped it open with his powerful hands.

I think I need to stop thinking about bread now.

So the puddings look good. My fave is the summer pudding btw.

OP posts:
Tigi · 09/07/2007 14:14

The temperatures of the ladies are now well risen after hearing about oiled men!

Slubberdegullion · 09/07/2007 14:17

Sorry, it's that racy best kiss thread.

OP posts:
Tigi · 09/07/2007 14:19

I haven't seen that one, I've only been tracking this one and my cat flea medication one. I'll nip and have a look. I'm supposed to be vacuuming really... Keep on doin a bit of that and then nipping back!

Slubberdegullion · 09/07/2007 14:20

tbh the gladiator re-enactment last year was more pmsl rather than fwoarr. Some very dodgy un toned nerdy types in their home made armour flailing about a bit with their swords. At one point one of them got carried away with the moment and walloped his opponent, cue man scream and St. Johns Ambulance man running into the arena with his bag. Kind of destroyed the moment.

OP posts:
Tigi · 09/07/2007 14:21

Nothing like the Brad Pitt film then?
