Who wants to enter here please. This will be fab. Now we have to find some judges. I think we should put thread in chat and ask someone to judge based on their credentials Obviously they will be only looking at a pic not tasting. We need rules as well??? Good idea or not.

Borrower? I'm not following. DH took the pics for me, so not too sure about the weirdness.

I think I've skimped on too many rules though... white plate, doyley (sp?), etc... so perhaps won't do too well! Plus it's raining out in our garden so couldn't even do a nice outdoor pic. But I suppose then it wouldn't be very English anyway as we're in Scotland. (will that disqualify me automatically!?)

It's the first pic with the tiger and the polar bear...it looks like it's been taken in a dolls house. Which hats off if it has as you have made the most exquisite minature VSC ever.

But if it's real size, then you must have a big tiger and polar bear.

Maybe I should go and have a cup of tea (and bathe filthy children).

Well, I tried my best but...

we live out in the sticks, I went to the local garage on the off chance but they didn't have any, I then went to the local mini shop/off licence but they were closed

The next nearest place is a 40 min round trip away, on the off chance they might have some, so no go for me now unfortunately. I will keep an eye out for any other comps though

It's the first time I have actually used the beautiful Arts & Crafts Room that DH made for me, since I was pg . Tis mainly used to smoke illicit fags by the french doors and drink gallons of wine whilst Mumsnettting.

how fastidious and traditional is our judge? if she appreacites a little modernity, i may have time topull off one more & try a different approach with the presentation?

Right, yes!! Cupcakes, cupcakes, here we go!!! I can do my special pyscadaelic ones!! you should have seen their faces at the PTA when I first did them for the cake stall - I think they thought they had 'extra' ingredients

Slubberdegullion... aha, gotcha now. It's actually on a little kiddie table with their large(ish) bear and tiger sitting down to tea. LOL!

Ooo-er events have moved on while I've been out planting cavolo nero and broccoli...will now attempt to upload pictures of VSC (which ds & dp voted my best yet due to using the Hugh F-W method). Doesn't look that hot though when compared to the others.

MommyUpNorth your cake looks fab but the setting could be an episode of Lost! (okay so I've just downed a huge glass of rose)

I believe our judge will be looking for rise and presentation (and if we are honest any shop bought cake boxes in the background). I could be wrong though, she may be looking for the pinkest cake ever. In which case, Tigi wins hands down (fabulous cake Tigs)
