Who wants to enter here please. This will be fab. Now we have to find some judges. I think we should put thread in chat and ask someone to judge based on their credentials Obviously they will be only looking at a pic not tasting. We need rules as well??? Good idea or not.

Ooooooooooooooooooooooh KAA I'm loving your olde worlde scales and Rayburn. Very respectful display of your VSC also.

Nice choice of baking music too

SlightlyMadScientist · 16/06/2007 21:43

Right ladies. DP has just asked if I have sent pictures of my cake out (with tut tut you sad woman silent undertones). I have denied it (well I am currently not lying). So please ladies whenever DP is in the room can we have a bit of hush.....

Slubberdegullion · 16/06/2007 21:47

I'm completely shtumn
[emoticon with two little eyes looking up and no mouth at all]

(just so we all have our story straight, what would you like us to say that you have been doing SMS if not photographing cake)

SlightlyMadScientist · 16/06/2007 21:50

Cleaning the kitchen.....

...and then messing it up again

tigi · 16/06/2007 21:52

Question - do you lick the bowl yourself, or give it to the children? I lick mine, and tell the children fibs about that every bit of mixture went in the oven!

Slubberdegullion · 16/06/2007 21:53

righto.

I am currently still researching tents.

Slubberdegullion · 16/06/2007 21:54

tigi, DC get a beater each and the bowl.

I get the spatula.

SlightlyMadScientist · 16/06/2007 21:57

Nah -licking the bowl is banned in my house - raw eggs and all. Don't know why really as we used to do it when we were kids.

They licked the bowl that I made my creamy raspberry jam in though,.

fishie · 16/06/2007 22:32

my cake is there.

MrsTweedy · 16/06/2007 22:39

Your cake looks lovely - I'll be using golden castor sugar too, why do you say it may have been your downfall?

janemw · 16/06/2007 22:50

If I make the cake when dd is at school, I lick the bowl (can't let all that yummy mix go to waste!) If she's home she has most of it and I have a tiny bit! These cakes are all looking too yummy! With all this practice we'll all be entering our village shows!!

shergar · 16/06/2007 23:48

I've uploaded mine here!

SlightlyMadScientist · 17/06/2007 07:44

there is nothing to see here....don't know who did that

SlightlyMadScientist · 17/06/2007 07:52

Oh and please forgive my pesentation. I havn't been able to ge rid of DP long enough to stage anything properly. Still - it is hte cake that counts

MrsTweedy · 17/06/2007 08:12

Where have all the cakes gone?

Slubberdegullion · 17/06/2007 08:28

cakes are back. And looking goooooooood.

Any sunday entries??

ChippyMinton · 17/06/2007 08:57

I'm doing another one in a minute, but it will have butter cream in it. Resigned to losing marks to keep BIL happy

MrsTweedy · 17/06/2007 08:58

I'll be entering today hopefully!

ChippyMinton · 17/06/2007 09:02

Oooookkkaaaayyyy..have just looked in the album and i see several rules violations. ROFL. May i suggest extra points for creative violations?

MommyUpNorth · 17/06/2007 09:46

What's the deadline today for an entry? Kids are off to MIL after lunch, so can hopefully get some pics of my entry up then.

ChippyMinton · 17/06/2007 09:50

midnight?

janemw · 17/06/2007 10:19

More in the oven!!!

MrsTweedy · 17/06/2007 11:17

Mine are in the oven. I used Hugh F-W's method & interestingly (to me anyway) it threw out Nigella's weights so I can't wait to see how it tirns out,

SlightlyMadScientist · 17/06/2007 13:05

I would like to state that I have not violated rules. I have used my sciency know-how to genetically modify my raspberries to make an opaque cream jam

ChippyMinton · 17/06/2007 13:10

Ha! I'm a cheat and I don't care!
Check out my illegal entry baked to the romantic sounds of Radio 2's sunday lurrvvee songs.
