And not Marmite cos that's too obvious
I don't get why people bother buying mild cheddar, it's such a false economy - nothing you make with it is going to taste of cheese.

anything devised by heston blumenthal.

Twinkie1 · 19/03/2007 17:42

Aubergines - the texture eeeewwwww oh and kidney beans having a little skin around some mushy stuff is just wrong wrong wrong.

I like crabsticks dipped in pink sauce though (sorry is what DD calls it!!)

Fish Roe - bleugh - my gran used to eat not the solid stuff but some sort of stuff in a sack was apparently the male version - fish version of what we have debates on as to whether to swallow it or not!!! I don;t think so!!!!

Chloe55 · 19/03/2007 17:42

I know some people like it but kidney - who wants to eat something that produces urine?

castlesintheair · 19/03/2007 17:43

offal

PrettyCandles · 19/03/2007 17:47

I'm having such a laugh reading this - because I like most of the foods mentioned here!

PersonalClown · 19/03/2007 17:47

Those boil in bag cod and sauce things.
Just the smell makes me gag

My mum still eats them...think I'm gonna be sick...

zippitippitoes · 19/03/2007 17:48

ate whelks on brighton pier once

well whelk

just like those giant brown elastic bands that you find on the pavement with added salt

InTheseShoes · 19/03/2007 17:48

Liver and kidneys - it stands to REASON that organs designed to clear toxins out of the system will NOT TASTE GOOD.

Anything like Dairylea dunkers/cheesestrings but especially the ones I have seen advertised that have processed meat in - ugh.

Chocolately/sugary breakfast cereals - surely chocolate/sugar is dessert??

AnAngelWithin · 19/03/2007 17:48

sprouts [puke]

oxocube · 19/03/2007 17:49

I hate kidney too but like liver, esp chicken livers. Oh and have never eaten it but brawn is something I don't want to try ever

saltire · 19/03/2007 17:49

Celery
Chopped pork - I used to wrok in a shop and all the old women would come in for "2 slices of chopped pork". I've never even tasted it, it just looks horrid
Marmite
Oysters
Black Pudding
Tongue - ditto above with the old ladies
Tofu _ tried it at a vegan friend's house once, yuk

Whizzz · 19/03/2007 17:49

Lentils, chick peas any the like & the silly frilly lettuce that look nice but taste like grass and also cress because its so pointless

ProfYaffle · 19/03/2007 17:50

Cheap, plastic white bread. Vile, vile, vile.

Also second lettuce as waste of space, especially iceberg.

Ceebee74 · 19/03/2007 17:50

Fruit cake and cheese (together) - it is tradition in my DH's family but what is that all about???

VeniVidiVickiQV · 19/03/2007 17:51

Jellied eels. I mean why? FFS.

Ditto "seafood sticks". Er no thank you.

at Boco

PersonalClown · 19/03/2007 17:51

I was 8 before I learnt that cress was supposed to be eaten not used to grow 'hair' in egg shells.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 19/03/2007 17:52

Im afraid i have to differ on black pudding. It is bloody gorgeous. I dont say that lightly as an ex-vegetarian with persistant vegetarian leanings.

oxocube · 19/03/2007 17:52

whizz, how can anyone not like lentils and chickpeas? They are lovely (and don't come from any dodgy animal bits)

nailpolish · 19/03/2007 17:52
