I am just watching Mary Poppins for the umpteenth time. Have always thought that Sister Suffragette is the cleverest and funniest and most brilliant song ever.
What are your favourites?

I love Stars from Les Miserables. It's the moment where you understand the motivations of a difficult character (Javert). Russell Crowe absolutely murdered it in the film sadly

Love the songs in Mary Poppins 2 as well, but I do absolutely love Emily Blunt, so anything with her in I'd love!

Maybe This Time from Cabaret, (also LOVE Stevie from Schitts Creek's version).
Love Stars too but agree with PP about Russell Crowe - absolutely dire!

We Know The Way from Moana. It’s just musical perfection, moving, and evocative of adventure and wind in your hair!!

Agree Stars is a very moving song and explains so much is a very deep storyline.

Also I love I'd give my life for you from Miss Saigon.

"Consider yourself" from Oliver! with 'Father Christmas' from Scrooge a very close second...

Yes re Maybe This Time, and Stevie's version definitely one of the best.

I do love the whole of MP though OP and agree that Sister Suffragette is underrated. Also agree with the PP who said the Mary Poppins Returns songs are good.

However Supercalifragilistic is the undisputed highlight.

But I think I'd say my all time favourites are Fred Astaire's ballads: either They Can't Take That Away From Me (Shall We Dance) or Just The Way You Look Tonight (Swing Time)

I always love the words to Hello Young Lovers from King and I. It's such a beautiful song and celebration of love across generations.
