Booked to see it tomorrow and v excited!

I think we need a thread to discuss it in.

So I'm starting one now.

I reckon Iron Man retires, Cap dies 😢, Hulk and Thor survive and that they return to the point where Starlord almost has it and get him to take the stone.

Gamorra must come back and I think Loki might.

@Noeuf Tony maybe 🤷🏻‍♀️ He is a billionaire after all.

SouthWestmom · 30/04/2019 10:49

Oh maybe. Vision just picked up the hammer.

Scarlet witch is meant to be from a soviet state she lost her accent in infinity war! in the comics she is Magnetos Dd but not the films Confused

AllGoodDogs · 01/05/2019 20:49

@noeuf the film after that one (civil war) is about that issue, how avengers cause so much damage and fatalities of civilians without any regulations.

SouthWestmom · 01/05/2019 20:52

@AllGoodDogs oh yes I remember that bit. Was just watching it with dc thinking 'tut tut' and not 'wow!' As they swiped through buildings and brought down livelihoods !

Agree with most of you on this! Saw it today and enjoyed it but... a bit underwhelmed. Didn't enjoy the fat Thor bits, it was dragged out. Why did they all immediately notice Nat didnt make it back but no one asked where Nebula was? The ensuing fallout straight after meant Nat's death was forgotten about and she was thereafter only mentioned v briefly. The females grouped together was an insult and frankly pointless as Captain Marvel mostly fought alone. I think she's a poor actress and obviously she was absent for the most part! Not sure how I feel about Steve picking Falcon over Bucky but I understand his choice, just. That article about the Thor character is spot on, I think.

lotusbell · 01/05/2019 21:04

Ant man was the best thing in it, for me. I was disappointed the final scene was just a huge mish mash of all the characters fighting, kind of 'let's throw everything at it!' But as my mate pointed out, it was a last hurrah for the original team, it wasn't about the others. Looking forward to what's next for Spidey, Black Panther and GOTG3!

lotusbell · 01/05/2019 21:05

Not the final scene, the final big fight with Thanos.

ILoveYou3000 · 01/05/2019 21:10

Lotus Nebula returned at the same time as the others but she was the bad Nebula.

I kind of disagree about Thor. He had a crisis of confidence but it ended with him realising, for the first time, it was okay for him to step away from 'duty' and what's expected of him and pursue his own path. Think that part of his journey will be featured in Guardians 3, Thor finding himself.

lotusbell · 01/05/2019 21:22

@ILoveYou3000 was bad Nebula there with the others in the circle? I must have missed her. I get what they did with Tjor and what they were trying to achieve but I think they relied on him and the slob persona too much for comedic value as there weren't that many funny moments in the film. They obviously picked up on where IW left off with the rivalry between him.and StarLord so it sets the scene for GOTG3.

SouthWestmom · 01/05/2019 21:26

When they went back in time bad Nebula swapped with good Nebula and came back in her place to sabotage it all

OP posts:
lotusbell · 01/05/2019 21:44

I know she swapped, I just thought she was missing in the circle when they all returned and then they all looked at Clint and asked where Nat was. I didnt see Nebula and wondered why no one said "Where's Nebula?" But I must've missed her.

JustLooking2019 · 01/05/2019 22:21

She was definitely there, I remember looking for her to see if the others would notice anything

ILoveYou3000 · 01/05/2019 22:23

I've watched it 3 times 🤦🏻‍♀️ she's definitely there. But they all focus on Clint and the fact Nat's missing so don't pay her much attention.

SouthWestmom · 01/05/2019 22:27

Oh right. No she definitely came back with them all.

OP posts:
lotusbell · 02/05/2019 07:05

That and the fact they all know Nat so well and Nebula not so much, I guess! Now I've slept on it, I need to see it again!

ShaggyRug · 02/05/2019 16:41

Going again on Sunday to pay attention to the detail Smile

herecomesthsun · 03/05/2019 20:54

I just read an article that says that Peppa was tracking IM and so when CM turns up she can get the coordinates from Peppa and go save him

Peppa Pig is a Super Hero?

SouthWestmom · 03/05/2019 22:54

Peppa Pig can do anything. She's the real hero of this story.

I think I must be malfunctioning as I usually love avengers films but i thought this was the most tedious wast of time. It was written in such a contrived way to wring out every last tearjerking moment possible.

My view was possibly coloured by the fact that although I like the franchise (Thor movies in particular) I can’t abide RDJ or Gormles Paltrow and was willing them both to die. 😂. Can’t fathom why all the sad faces at the the Tony Stark funeral when his character is a bit of an arrogant dick from the first film to the last. (Or, am I confusing the character with the actor?)

I agree with this - all the dead parent reunion stuff was icky

I have found my people! I was utterly underwhelmed and was genuinely clock watching for the first 2 hours 10 mins - at which point the battle happens. Which was great for 15 mins or so, and then I was bored again. So disappointing .

Totally agree, all the hype was saying this was a great film but nothing seemed to happen for ages. I shouldn’t have watched game of thrones again before going to see this film 🤣

bakedbeanzontoast · 04/05/2019 17:18

ooh I'm so glad its not just me....I was bored out my brains after the first 20 mins.

magoria · 04/05/2019 23:10

So I have to say first I haven't see Antman & Wasp so maybe it is all explained in there.

They create a time machine. When did they make it a teleporter to get them all to exactly where they need to be to get the stones as well as the right time?
