For me it's always the Twilight Saga. Then full on snot filled tissues when Edward's piece of music (Bella's Theme?) that he wrote for Bella.

I read the books before watching the films, and they too made me weep.

I know... I'm a sentimental nitwit.

I don't cry at much - Schindler's List
and then recently I Daniel Blake

Slowdownsally · 21/12/2016 00:26

Yes to many of these!

I'll add Boys Don't Cry (angry, angry tears), moulin rouge, leaving Las Vegas, the untouchables (Sean o'connery and his bloodied chain), the pianist, blade runner (Rachel and deckard looking at the family photos), life is beautiful, il postino...

I cry lots at films.

Thebookswereherfriends · 21/12/2016 08:42

Has anyone seen a film called "The Mighty"? It's a kids book made into a slightly obscure film which has Sharon stone and Gillian Anderson in. It's about a boy with a physical disability who is asked to help a boy with learning difficulties, a bunch of other stuff happens, but it has me in floods every time and I've never met anyone who's watched it.

vimtoqueen1 · 21/12/2016 08:45

I forgot also A fault in our Stars - I had read the book and cried ALOT during the film!

ClaudiaApfelstrudel · 21/12/2016 08:49

Titanic probably the most of all

Hachi made me howl so much the cat hid under the bed Blush

Gardenbirdy · 21/12/2016 08:52

Juno - nice to see someone else mention it up thread. I love that film!

And on a festive note, the Muppet Christmas Carol at the end when Beaker gives Scrooge his red scarf (crying now whilst typing ffs, need to get a grip!)

DeepInFrance · 21/12/2016 09:03

Cinema Paradiso at the end when the little boy has grown up to be a film director, and the old projectionist has bequeathed him a reel of all the censored bits that the priest has made him cut out of the films. And the director sits back and watches it...and the music wells up, and so do I.

Me and my mum love that film. It's heartbreaking when he runs to the factory and it turns out to be a laundry.

FormerlyFrikadela01 · 21/12/2016 09:20

Last night I watched Billy Elliot and properly booed my eyes out at the scene where his dad is on the bus breaking the strike.

ElsaAintAsColdAsMe · 21/12/2016 09:26

I forgot Boy In The Striped Pyjamas.

I didn't know anything about the film when I saw it. Towards the end I sat thinking it would be the most heartwarming thing ever and the lad would get adopted at the end. Man was I wrong.

MrsPeel1 · 21/12/2016 09:32

I cry at everything

I am crying at this... but I'm very very tired.

Up and Beaches were my before children sob films, post children: anything where children are sad. Bigger wuss than ever now!

ClaudiaApfelstrudel · 21/12/2016 10:37

I have to admit as a romantic at heart I'm always bawling at the end when there's a kiss or a marriage doesn't really matter which film though, I cried at Love Actually the other night when Hugh Grant goes round to see Martine McClucheon (sp) Grin

DramaInPyjamas · 21/12/2016 10:46

What Dreams May Come
Patch Adams
Jack

Robin Williams seems to have an effect (affect?) on me

plastique · 21/12/2016 10:47

I cried like a baby at the scene in CLICK, where he's trying to talk to his dad near the end!! Doubt I'd choose to watch it again.
13 GOING ON 30... All the scenes with Mark Ruffalo looking baffled, and defo the end! And can watch this film over and over and over....

oldsilver · 21/12/2016 10:51

Bicentennial Man. That last half hour, every single time. Just thinking about it I well up Xmas Sad

laylabelle · 21/12/2016 12:52

The new cinderella had me from start to finish!
